Thoughts On New Champion Select

TL;DR: It's been half a day, give it time. (On a side note, I like it).

First off, it hasn't even been a full 24 hours yet. People need to relax. Give it some time, it's a new system and that's why it's only out on two servers. Yes, it has issues and they will be fixed eventually. Just take a few days to get used to things before getting all worked up about it.

Second, for those of you unhappy with TB being turned off, it's most likely because Riot wants as much feedback as possible. You never know, it might return in the future.

Lastly, personally speaking, I think the new system works out well. Not going to lie, I do like TB and hope they make a version where you only pick one role eventually. Until then, I'm happy with the new draft mode. I generally prefer playing mid or support, those are my two best and favourite roles. My issues with the old draft was that I was forced into roles that I wasn't always the best at. Yes, I have cost my team a game or two because I suck at top and jungle but no one listened in champion select when I told them that. I rather play ranked this way, that way I KNOW I'll get something I can handle and if I screw up, it's my fault for not doing my part. I do miss the little notification sound, the one that told you it was your turn to pick. It was just nice having that, maybe I'm just used to it. I don't know, we'll see.

Another thing I really like is the new ban system. I'm pretty sure we can all relate to having come across at least one person who simply bans whatever champions they want and ignore the team if they have said anything. (It's a different situation if your team hasn't said anything). I like how I can't accidentally click on someone and ban them thus wasting a ban. I also like that 3 different people get to ban. It's not just up to one person anymore.

One of the feature I really like is hearing the champion select quote when a player selects their champion. I especially like that I only hear it after I have locked in, it's a nice change from hearing bit of a quote when going back and forth between champions (you know when you're trying to decide who to pick).
