I just want to know if Riot is working on any updates to the ranked system, which anyone who's not Challenger will admit is pretty damn broken. If my game is a 4v5 there's no way in hell you can justify losing 20 LP. You just can't. Not by saying "Oh it happens to everyone." Riot spends so much time on messing with the high tiers (what even is Master) and seems to be okay with the stagnant pool of bad sportsmanship and absurdity that is Bronze-Gold.
One problem with this is that if you balance it then when you win 4v5 it will be less LP gained and when you lose 4v5 it will be less LP lost and so you end up being in the same spot basically. It might be a little better, since the 5v5 games you have a greater influence on will be at least a little more influential in your total LP, but I don't think it will be as big a change as a lot of people think. You have to remember that if you lose less LP when you get beat 5v4 you also gain less LP when you win 5v4 and so it reduces the change that it makes from what you would expect at first.
