Can we be rewarded for successfully getting into Ahri's face/ cc'ing her

So I understand Ahri is a kite mage, which is cool, but I feel like she is way too safe. I also think that she lacks any meaningful weakness, and I think that a great place to start is rewarding players for getting in her face (think Ashe). Right now, anyone that gets in front of Ahri eats a point-blank charm to the face, followed by a full guaranteed combo. This kind of makes it feel like there is now real way of dealing with her, aside from waiting until she makes a huge mistake with her ult and flash down maybe? Also, using crowd control feels very unrewarding, because of the sheer amount of mobility she has after being cc'ed. What do you guys think, what could be a cool change that would keep Ahri's identity in tact, while still being able to deal with her when we successfully get close to her.
