why? very very tanky, good dmg, super easy to play, good sustain, can mess up trade and still be fine because of his passive

He's like a really shitty Darius. Kinda like comparing an armored van to a regular one. Maybe you can carry games with Garen, but he's really not a go-to champ if you know what i'm sayin.

Darius's sustain is playing super aggressive and crushing his opponent. 12% missing health per bladed Q hit is a lot better for a duel than having to back out of fighting for 30 seconds to regenerate a few blocks of health (until 16 ofc)

Plus the tons of AD and the free ignite for proccing 5 stacks of hemmorhage.

I would say 1v1 me so you know what i'm talking about but you're half the world away from me.

Hell, Master Yi gets played in challenger sometimes, just youtube it and you see these guys playing Yi... It works, it's a matter of player skill and champ selection.

you will get kited by about anybody not melee. he has no engage, no catching potential. literally the only thing he can do is tank damage while spinning.

I've seen someone reach Master as Teemo. You can probably do it with Garen.

from stats alone, garen has been maintaining an about 51% to 52% winrate in plat since his rework. experienced garen players win almost 60% games with him in that bracket.

so id say, yes. if youre really learning how to main him, he can be a good solo que carry.

there are certain matchups he performs really well in. but also some hes pretty terrible against.

from experience, never pit him against certain ranged champions. on the other hand, you can run him either mid agaisnt some assassins, or top against a lot of bruisers.

some people even like to jungle with him.
