Every League game has 4 phases.
Early game.
Mid game.
Late game.
Blame game.
Early game.
Mid game.
Late game.
Blame game.
You forgot pre-game.
"mid" "mid" "I called it first" "I can only play mid" "give him mid" "no" "just let him" "I called it first" "bring flash" "this champ doesn't need it" "omg" "just bring it" "no" "noob team" "gg" "we don't have a jungler" The game is starting! Prepare yourselves! "WE NEED A JUNGLER" (Many games seem to be over literally before they've begun.)
Pre-game can be shoe-horned in as part of the blame game, as some part of full-circle ouroboros situation.
that's adorable
Or
1"Mid" some time later 2"Sorry, I'm taking Mid." 1(No, you're not sorry.)
Have we played together before?
Probably, but I disable summoner names over health bars (dunno why they're even there, they just get in the way and/or incite you into hating them if they get you), so I don't really remember most of the people with whom I Rift. :P
Early: Cho Gath is small Mid: Cho Gath is bigger Late: Cho Gath is really big OMG End: Cho Gath fills half the screen
Post-Game: Cho'gath eats the world.
Early: Cho Gath is small Mid: Cho Gath is bigger Late: Cho Gath is really big OMG End: Cho Gath fills half the screen
Epic. Now quit making me want to play Cho'Gath more. lol

No point in doing the losing team; it's always the same.
Everyone: "NOOB feeders"
Blame game needs to be a thing. Someone needs to take blame for the loss. And yes, it can be everyone, as it typically is. If you go 2/15 mid, however, you need to be blamed. People need to start being accountable for their actions rather than pretending everything is all jolly. #Reallogicneedstobeappliedtothisgameaswell. < I don't play twitter, so I'm not sure if I used the hashtag thingy right.

Because this stuff is super serious...
If you're not a wheeb, everything that has a winner is super serious :)
Then you should take your downvotes seriously and accept the blame for being a jackass on the forums.
That makes no sense xD
Look at the upvotes for the person who replied to you, and your downvotes. We are the winners, you are the loser, so this must be super serious. If you go -7 on the forums, just like 2/15 mid, you need to be blamed for being a moron.
You are genius lol, WP.
But he does have a point.
Not according to this guy. He thinks the 2/15 person shouldn't be held accountable for the loss. Guess we know what his average games consist of lol.
No, he probably shouldn't. Because most of the time, when he goes 2/3 or even does poorly and goes 2/5 or 0/3, some asshat like you starts raging in chat. That rager is to blame, because he makes it impossible to come back from a slow start.
I mean, do you want to sit around for 45 minutes clicking your mouse aimlessly while a teammate feeds?
No, you have to say, "GJ! Keep trying harder! Maybe next time you will get him." Otherwise, you are being toxic.
"Surrender" game.
If you don't want to surrender when I want to, then I don't need to help when you want to. Fair trade :)
There are different reasons for that. Some people are using different champs then they are used to and want to level or play for as long as possible to get familiar with builds and power, even in the face of a completely fed and more skilled opponent. A lot of the times the enemy is making huge mistakes at closing the game and leaving the possibility of a come back open. If your team doesn't want to surrender and you do, you should still try. Comebacks, though rare, are pretty awesome.
I've been on both sides of this. The worst thing to do is just sit at the fountain. Gotta just bite your lip and suffer. Video games are a waste of time period. If you had something better to be doing, you wouldn't be playing at all.
You sir...............just stole my mouth. Now I am speechless.
I totally agree with you, man. That's just it, I don't give up if the team is losing. I give up if the team is losing and they're flaming. If my teammates are trying new champs and feed, I don't mind. If I see them try, I'll try too.
But if my teammates are trolling and not listening to the simplest advice like, "PLEASE just run away if you're outnumbered", and talking a lot of smack. It just makes me lose interest.
I would report you. Either try, or uninstall. There are players who are depending on you.
I'd report you back :)
What's the point of trying when you know it's a loss? And I'm not talking about being down 5k-10k, I'm talking about your team being absolute sh*t. No one listens to each other, everyone's flaming. And when I try to give advice like, "please focus (player)", everyone goes "STFU you noob, stop coaching, I know what I'm doing".
If there's even a slight chance of winning, I'll keep trying. If my team is actually worth trying for, I don't mind losing 1 hour matches if the game was good; it's still fun in that case. But if your team is down 5v20 in the first 20 minutes, then the lead is insurmountable.
You're holding me hostage at this point. Why would a hostage help their kidnappers? :)
Because leaving midway makes you a jerk/ bad sportsmanship and that's a greater offense than the actually loss.
Imagine you have a tennis team and at 10 mins, someone got mad and leaves, as his team member, what would you do to him? As his coach, what would you do to him? As his opponent, what would you think of him? I would punch him in the face if he left me.
You'd punch someone just because he gives up on a VIDEO GAME? That's the pettiest thing I've ever heard.
There's a flaw in your example, dude. You're talking about pros. If I was a pro, I wouldn't give up on my teammates. But that's just it, they're my teammates. They're also probably my friends, people I know personally.
In my example, I'm playing with total strangers who cuss each other out for no reason. I don't have any obligation to cater to your needs.
If you treat me like sht, I'll treat you like sht.
So just because you don't see someone face-to-face, you have to rights to be a jerk? That'd sum up everything wrong with internet.
The definition of jerk varies from person to person. Your definition is a person who gives up is worse than a person talking smack. Mine is the opposite.
Think of it this way, play basketball with strangers who are as toxic as the people in league. Have YOUR OWN TEAMMATES berate you throughout the game.
Will you keep trying cause you owe it to them to finish the game? If you answered yes then you're lying
Keep doing that and see if the coach would ever put you in a team again.
And no, I'd definitely stay, unless the club is a complete crap and I was already planning on leaving.
You'd report him back, but since that person hasn't done anything wrong, your report would amount to nothing and would lower the value of your reports for the future. On the other hand, since YOU were indeed AFK, then his report would actually hold water and you would risk a disciplinary suspension (especially since, according to you, this is recurrent behavior in your case).
You do not get to choose for your team when the game is hopeless. I've come back from games that were 5 to 20 in the first 20 minutes, which tends to support my opinion that you are not a good judge of when there is still hope. When you AFK though, THAT loses the game for your team.
You are engaging in a self fulfilling prophecy and then congratulating yourself being correctly predicted your loss when you in fact are directly causing it.
So true. Had a recent game where I played Braum and we were losing pretty badly (a good deal was my fault probably). I was ready to throw in the towel after a bad team fight, but the rest of my team still wanted to keep going. Did I AFK thinking it was a lost cause? No, I looked to see what the largest threat was and saw that Annie was a problem. So I decided to get a locket and we started winning the team fights.
Your case is different. YOU (one person) were the one doing bad, but your team didn't give up on you. Very noble of them.
My case is my WHOLE team is doing horrible, and I give up on them. Like I said, if there's even a chance of winning, I won't give up. But let's be real. There's matches where you know you can't win. Why the hell do I have to waste 40 minutes of my life babysitting a bunch of strangers when we'll ultimately lose?
Actually our mid and AD weren't doing too well. I know our top was fine, but I can't remember how our jungle was doing. Still we were down quite a bit and it looked like it was pretty lost and I was ready to throw in the towel. But I never stopped playing.
That's where you're wrong. I'm not afk. I'm walking around our base, which means I won't get auto-kicked. So his report won't mean anything either. That person didn't do anything wrong? Maybe. That depends on what he's doing.
Like I said, and I think the majority just aren't understand, IF I SEE REASON TO HELP, I'LL FKN HELP. If the people feeding were actually nice, I'd still try. If they just say, "Hey sorry, this is a new champ for me". Then I'll just keep soldiering through.
But if my team is flaming each other, blaming everyone for their mistakes, I don't feel like helping. Why do I have to suffer through playing with a toxic team AND MAKE THEIR LIFE BETTER?
Why reward the arsehat that's cussing me out just because he's still trying? So it's ok for someone to be a dck, but as long as he tries, he's doing nothing wrong? Reversely, if I'm being nice but people won't listen, why do I gotta cater to them when they certainly won't cater to me?
As for comebacks, yes it happens. But in all games where my team has been up or down 20 kills, the losing team has never came back for me even when we/they tried. League of Legends isn't a game where you can pull off upsets through skill alone. LoL is a very snowbally game and if you give up a huge lead, it's really hard to come back.
In fact, I will say that if you're down by a lot, then you CAN'T WIN THROUGH SKILL, your opponent CAN ONLY LOSE THROUGH OVERCONFIDENCE.
This isn't a game like CoD where a more skillful player can carry the whole team from behind 1v5.
Lol, you think you're clever but what you don't understand is that leaverbuster does detect "walking around aimlessly in base".
The entire rest of your post is just a bunch of excuses to justify YOUR behaviors which are contributing to your defeat. None of these are valid and you need to learn to assume YOUR responsibilities in life. Please finish the game you queued up for or, please do not Queue up for games.
If you only want to win, play vs AI.
I also noticed how you moved the Goalposts and it used to be "Impossible to win", now you're admitting that you should have said "really hard". I also love how these teammates of yours gain all sorts of NEW negative traits every time you reply. Now suddenly your teammates are cussing you out, and they are being dicks and yadayada... Look at it this way, people are not dicks to me when I play. What do you think is the difference between me and you? Because if it happens to you as often as you claim, then I think the mirror is where you need to be looking.
Listen to yourself, dude. Why're you getting so worked up? Obviously you're losing the argument so now you're resorting to nit picking every word to make yourself sound smart. Pretty sad.
First off, I never said it happens a lot. There's good people way more often than not. BUT WHEN IT HAPPENS...
Secondly, I doubt a system can tell the intentions of a person playing. That's almost impossible because a computer can't read minds. So nice try.
Also I used this example in another post. Maybe you can answer it and I'll know how full of sh*t you are.
You're playing basketball with strangers, and they are berating you as much as some league players do. Berating you as much as a kid hiding behind a keyboard can. Do you suck it up and finish the game? Or do you walk away from these strangers?
If you said you finish the game, your a liar.
With all due respect, I do not like your 'tone'. I would appreciate if you lay off the condescending "you must agree with me or you are a liar". What you call nit picking I call 'identifying where your logic fails'. For example I can assure you your assumption that you can just click around in base and Leaverbuster will think you're in your lane helping your team is completely incorrect. While you are right in your assumption that Riot has not succesfully accomplished mind reading just yet, they have more data at their disposal than "Does he click once in a while?".
To address your example, I'd like to remind you of the differences between your 'example' and your own behavior in League of Legends.
League of Legends is a video game, you are safely in your house and there is no risk of physical violence erupting. Your Basketball example sounds like punches are about to be thrown.
Your basketball example does not have a mute button.
These differences are important in the current context and render your 'example' irrelevant. You are not comparing similar scenarios.
If I came off as condescending then I apologize. So my bad.
Everyone has their own opinions. I'm sure if you and I played, you wouldn't hate my level of effort.
Ultimately, everyone just wants to have fun. And regardless of why/when I want to surrender, I do finish a lot more games then people here probably think :)
Fair enough, and since you're ending this conversation on such a friendly note, I did read the post you responded to, and my own first sentence may have in fact been the cause of your tone. I do apologize for this, furthermore, I wish you many things, most of them good.
