Cool Story Leaverbuster
Computer randomly decides it should restart right after the game loads, don't get back in before a remake.
Leaverbuster informs me that AFKing or leaving a game negatively impacts player experiences and I have a 20 minute queue penalty.
Meanwhile, days earlier (or god knows how many times over the years, probably in the hundreds) the Fizz who says "I'm done" after 5 minutes and spends the rest of his time wandering around the fountain until forfeit at 20 pops right back into my next game.
I've been playing this game a long time (since open beta). I've never been suspended, I've never intentionally left a game unless it absolutely was an emergency (if your dad has to go the hospital, my bad guys but I really do need to go.)
Something that's bothered me for a long time is there is simply no sense of justice regarding player behavior. I've played thousands of games and never been disciplined, yet now I'm staring at a screen informing me of my punishable offense (a computer crash). Yet how many times have I been in games where players behave in an incredibly toxic manner, and who will deliberately do things to try and circumvent punishment.
The bottom line is, when you have a system that punishes players who do their best to be good citizens, but seem incapable of removing bad apples who have a modicum of intelligence about how to circumvent the system, this a problem.
I'm curious if this story or train of thought resonates with other people.
Riot, I'm not saying you suck, but sometimes, you kind of suck.
