I was playing the and when ulted I tried to Q away. With the reason patch on Aatrox's Q it should make the downward strike Unstoppable, yet 's R still stopped the downward flight. It's annoying to see that Riot made patches to a Champ and some of them not take effect.

The downward strike is unstoppable.

You were pretty blatantly hit at, or near, the zenith of your ascension. There is absolutely no lateral movement in the video you've provided, which means everything is working exactly as intended.

Honestly dude, you were seriously outplayed. If that orrn had waited even a fraction of a second longer you would've been safe. Props to the guy for hitting the second portion of his R at the first - and last - possible second.

Thats the problem, this game is so inconsistent with the "unstoppable". I've played Aatrox a lot and have had his Q be stopped when descending. I haven't had it happen recently so I can't send you a video. And it was after they made the change. In my opinion the entire thing should be unstoppable or not at all. They said that they made it "unstoppable" so why isn't the entire thing? Exactly like old Ornn W, No point in it could it be interrupted, so why not for Aatrox? And I wasn't "outplayed" it was merely luck that got him that kill. A faction of a second seems like luck to me. And even in the video you can see Aatrox point his sword down and then I was hit. At that point that should be "unstoppable".
