Talon or Diana?

I can't decide between the two. I main swain and have a 67% win rate atm, but it does get a little repetitive and I want to play a midlane assasin. They both seem very viable. I definitely prefer ap, I'm just a good bit more comfortable with it. When ever i play ad base champions I miss AAs, (Ill either click right beside them or ill click them and click again thinking i missed and reset the animation blah. I'm not good at it.) I play talon and I'd e but fuck up right after. I like that diana has a shield and a bit of team cc. I also want someone who has survivavbility, (talon ult possibly to get away? Dianas shield to tank + lunar rush to escape?) I also want to be able to bring a bit to the team fights, because ive seen some talon game play and hed either blow someone up or bring them pretty low then get burst or just kinda run around until his e comes off cd so he can reenter the fight. I don't really like that. I'm leaning towards diana but thats just because I already know I'm pretty bad at talon. Could I get like a big pro's and cons of the two plus personal opinons, If at all possible if someone would put in time to check with swain counters with those two and see who'd make a better switch if i got countered with swain. My second role is generally jg (udyr or ww), but its usually not a problem because I'd pick swain even into a counter or switch between mid and top, buttt I want to even it out. ugh I know im ranting and restating, but yea... just reply with some useful info plz xD. Oh plus early, mid and late phases. I feel like a lot of people get stuck between the two because theyre kinda similar and neither are played excessively.

i own both, talon seems fairly weak right now with all the mobility working against him and knockups being super valuble.

diana just has a really weak laning phase unless you're up against another melee champ, shes good in the jungle but i just see other better champion choices than what you would want her for.

but if you had to pick between the two, id go for diana because she has more versatility.

Talon ftw.

I recommend both. Talon if your team has a lot of AP (Fiddle jg, Rumble top). Diana if your team has a lot of AD. Their playstyle is fairly similar: all in, quick assassination with no plan B. Both are really good at abusing solo que carries who misposition.

Id suggest learning Diana first, then Talon. They will both all or nothing jump in on a target but Diana doesn't really do it until you land your q, so hopefully that will help you learn timings and stuff so you dont walk into talon and jump in every time you can. Neither of them are particularly mechanically skill based, but timing and positioning (more so on Talon) is critical.
