Inting Karthus strategy in ARAM

KFCeytron··7 votes·3,866 views
  1. Turn on Defile
  2. Snowball in under enemy turret to get turret aggro
  3. Team joins the fight, knowing they won't take turret hits for a while
  4. Spam Q until dying
  5. Spam Q for another four seconds
  6. Ult if it's ready, otherwise continue to spam Q until grey screen

You'll die a lot, but you'll also deal a huge amount of damage, absorb a lot of damage for your team due to not caring about dying, and turn the enemy team's turret from haven to hazard. There isn't really any counterplay that I can tell, because you're untouchable half the time.

there is a lot of things in this game that lack counterplay besides afk on fountain, so not to sound rude, but get over it

So? Does that make them good things? This isn't an argument.

This is one of the things I really hate dealing with in aram. Maybe riot should halve his Q range in aram when he's in ghost form.

The counterplay is to just fight it out. I love it when an ARAM Karthus is goes for the hard feeder stray because it usually does nothing good. If he goes in alone, than just spreading out will give you more from his death than his team gets. If his team follows, you have turret advantage and can easily turn a fight to your favor. Once you're in the midgame, a karthus who engages can often be bursted and disengaged from, leaving his team in a shitty 4v5.

I'd always rather face this type of Karthus than one who plays the early game safe and goes in second midgame.

0 counterplay? How about buying a item 3194

Building an item to slightly reduce your damage taken isn't counterplay. If it was, old Pantheon would've had counterplay with item 1031.

Old pantheon had counter play. He wasn't revamped because he had no counterplay. He was reworked because he was hella binary.

Staying far away lest you get hit with point-and-click damage, point-and-click stun, unavoidable AoE damage, and more point-and-click damage isn't counterplay. It's non-interaction.

He did.

Uhh, Adaptive Helmet does more than just slightly reduce damage against Karthus lol. The passive alone cuts all of his abilities save his ult by 20 percent. That's not even account for the MR it gives, and the fact that most ARAM teams tend to reroll into long-range AP poke anyways.

Honestly, I much prefer a Karthus that does this on the enemy team than one that actually knows how to play. I never use the int'ing Karthus strategy because it is pretty weak.

He dies easily and does a fair amount of damage, sure. But he has far more counter-play than Malphite, or Fiddlesticks does for examples.

Aram is a troll fest... Its not competitive and is not balanced. There is low chance to get Karthus even if you have only Karthus because free rotation is included into random champion roll.

No need to change anything. Not that Riot would care to touch it anyway.
