My matches typically go win-lose-win-lose etc not quite a 50-50 trade off but close to it Im just in normals, but i would like to improve so i can climb the ranks when i hit 30

There is nothing more satisfying for me than winning a match and carrying, while 2 or 3 teammates say AD eve doesnt work
don't jump into ranked as soon as you hit 30. Make sure you can win/ carry 80% of your games with evelynn first and then go in. Score may not matter, but doesn't make you a better player. I have a friend with almost 1 mill mastery points on evelynn, but he still can't make it past silver 4 because he never improves himself, he just keeps playing without trying to figure out what he could do differently. She relies on being in the right spot at the right time, and if your still leveling you haven't learned it yet.
Accept that full AD Evelynn is too squishy. It just is. There is no working around it, because you can't get into melee range while you're invisible. Your role is to be an off-tank engage of sorts for your team. Your early game build should be Warrior - Gauntlet into whatever you feel is necessary. Mobility Boots are great for high impact.
These are generally the only acceptable runes for Evelynn: ad marks, armor seals, ap quints + glyphs
Mastery wise, Fervor of Battle suits the play style best. Since your E procs it twice, you can quickly stack it with that and the bonus attack speed. You're durable, so you get the full 60 bonus ad from it, which means that counts towards your abilities with AD ratios (Q/E). Make sure you take at least two points in Vampirism. Otherwise, you won't have enough sustain to do a full clear. Ask for a smiteless leash on your buff.
Aside from that, watch high ELO players play her. Decision making is roughly 3/4 of the game, and you can only learn by doing/watching.
AD is just really awkward. I still haven't quite gotten a lock on her dmg. If i go AD on Eve i go bruiser which looks something like this 
+boots and maybe 
switched in since it's good again. If you want burst, AP just plain works better 90% of the time, but i find that ADC items work better for burst than AD assassin items. something like or
used to work pretty well, but i haven't tried it in awhile. AD also has a pretty different play style than AP or tanky eve. AP and tanky you wanna preasure early and snowball with AP/snowball your team with tanky. AD is all about farming similar to 
actually. If your team is doing bad early then it is very risky to play AD eve since you won't be able to help them, but if there is nothing you can do(for the most part) then it will scale more into the late game.
I mained almost exclusively AD eve last season (season 5) and still play her AD occasionally this season. After the ADC item changes, specifically to essence reaver, and after many nerfs to eve directly I can say that its not as effective as it use to be. That being said, it still works very well.
This may sound counter intuitive, but 
is still the best jungler option even for AD eve. It gives you the move speed and more importantly the early game burst that you need to secure kills. Warriors is a wasted item slot on eve in comparison and sated is for more DPS oriented builds where you stick to a target longer.
So id start picking up runic and then go into a lethality build. + 
is actually insane burst. Pick up a herald and finish right after and you will be spiking like crazy
mandatory for ad eve. 100% of time. also 
if they have ap. don't get on eve. the spellshield too good on her for engage . since your invis aint possible to poke the shield off before u in engage range.
The life steal on deaths dance is not based on AAs.

AD Eve is tougher to play than AP Eve, shes more reliant on AA for dps and generally has less kite options. She can have great split push ability built this style, but eve is a naturally strong split push champ by default. In general, Rylai has been so strong on her for the past year and a half that there isn't a reason to ever play eve and not build this item, but Rylai is getting nerfed and AD Eve was viable even when Rylai was the obvious superior version.
In the past, before the changes to Rylai in the season 5 MYMU, I ran her mostly as an AD bruiser with a core of 
and then a pair of durability items 
and boots for the specific game situation (lots of stuns and heavy AP = Mercs, Multiple aa dependent enemies = Tabi, Ahead early more ganks harder snowball = mobis/swifties).
This build is pretty solid. But its not as effective as you want it to be at anything. Not really tanky enough to be as front line as you want to be given your dps level, not as great a burst as you could get, not the best dps you can get, not the most ideal and optimal rune/mastery set up with only 40% cdr built into build without lucidity boots, etc. It has its drawbacks in that its a swiss army knife, and it can do a lil of everything, but it can't do anything really great.
I swapped in favor of a more AP bruiser style build after the Rylai changes and it looks like this. A core of 
and then I can select from a wide range of options such as my standard front line build with 
, a more assassin one shot style with 
, and things like 
remain suitable game specific counter options.
If I were to play Eve AD in the coming weeks I would probably do this

But I'd be even more likely to play her hybrid like so (the burst and passive from runic is nice and the utility from rylai as stick for chase or peel on retreats is too good to pass up) (more burst, more dps, durability, legit one shot ability with the 4 items now and active of Gunblade) (Defense and offense, this item adds cdr, which eve turns into dps for q's, makes her tanky versus primary enemy dps at least) and boots to suit with Tabi as go to. I'd be willing to build GA and Zzrot depending on how much money I have and whether or not I really need runic echoes any more in the late game.
