Why you should never surrender in ranked ((Unless a Remake thing pops up, then always remake))

As the title suggests, I'm a firm believer that you shouldn't surrender in ranked, unless you've got that remake window, Why? Well, lets take my most recent ranked game shall we?

So we are losing heavily, but our team is not surrendering. Enemy is knocking on our Nexus, and it looks like GG when thanks to the work of our Sivir, Leona, Ekko, Rengar (Me), and Kennen, we successfully repelled the enemy from our Nexus. Now, this is where we have a chance to come back and win when kennen DC's. Well, we lose. Horribly, thanks to him DCing.

Simply put, Ranked matters. Even to some of us Bronzies, who want to improve, get better, and leave the hell known as Bronze. Surrendering turns whatever slim chance you had at turning it around into a big fat 0% chance of victory. You don't just have late game, the longer the game goes on, the more likely it is that the enemy team will make a mistake, which is why the other team wants you to FF, they are worried about themselves making an error which costs them the game.

Now, I'm sure you're thinking, but what if it looks really hopeless and stuff, like a 16/0/0 Rengar problem. Well, yeah you're probably shit out of luck, but it's ranked. You're better off trying your hardest to come back and win then guaranteeing the lost LP. Is it more than likely going to end with your team losing horribly? Yes, but at least you fought until the end, and gave it your best shot.

And for the love of Aurelian Sol, don't DC in a freaking ranked game, especially if your team just successfully defended against what should've been a GG WP nexus push.

Agreed. I can't tell you how many games Ive turned around from the brink of extinction. Back in season 3, we had a game where my team was getting dumpster so bad, Riven was dancing and backflipping over our inhib at 10 minutes, but since I (and my support) were the only ones doing decently, i manned up and brought everyone together , and slowly but surly we turned it around.

Rushed an early GA and basically never died, was fed enough to consistently kite and kill enemy riven, and we defended until roughly 50 minutes, clearing waves and killing enemies as they tried to get in our base.

This was Season 3, so it was admittedly much easier to do, but eventually around the 50 minute mark, we started to push our way to enemy base, killing off the enemies as we continued to move forward until we got to the nexus, i was the only one standing, but i got that last autoattack on the nexus and cried the screams of christmas victory.

And it was then that i knew that almost any game can be turned around, as long as you adjust your mindset.
