How to deal with AFKs?

I just had a game where my amumu and my zero both asked, leaving me (Zed), wu, and ziggs against their fed ez, kindred, and there rest of their team. We ended up opening mid and losing. What can I do in this scenario?

Player accrues 20 minutes in LPQ.

Next offense.

Account permanently banned.

It's that simple.

AFK's are by far the most toxic thing in team online gaming. They can be proved yet they can't be muted and they leave your team at a severe disadvantage. There is nothing you can do about them when it happens like you can when chat toxicity happens.

It is beyond my comprehension as to why this offense isn't treated in a more harsh manner.

It's that simple.

AFK's are by far the most toxic thing in team online gaming. They can be proved yet they can't be muted and they leave your team at a severe disadvantage. There is nothing you can do about them when it happens like you can when chat toxicity happens.

It is beyond my comprehension as to why this offense isn't treated in a more harsh manner.

"I got to bring my Grandmother to the hospital; it's an emergency... But I can't leave this League game. Grandma, can you hold on?"

You do realize there are emergency situations that people are not in control of? People that need to be brought to the hospital, an important call that you cannot miss, etc. should not be punished for leaving the game, as they have a valid reason that is an emergency.

But sadly, the League community, such as yourself, would rather let their teammate's Grandmother die and an emergency situation should be avoided at all costs so they don't simply "AFK" and ruin a game.

It's just a game; it is not real life.

It's best to learn how to accept the fact that people may of had an emergency that they had an situation to take care of.

Emergencies are rare.

You don't get LPQ from emergencies.

You get LPQ from frequent AFK's, DC's, and leaving games.

Those that have an emergency and get LPQ because of it forget that they left many games prior to that emergency.

Learn to be responsible and plan your game time around your schedule as other people are counting on you to be there. That is the same in real life when you are supposed to be somewhere you committed to.

People like you are full of excuses and never take responsibility for things you can control and end up getting punished for it then whining and bitching about it.

Be happy RIOT does in fact have their head in their ass and only give you a simple timeout for committing the worst type of toxicity in team online gaming.

Ever had a lane hyper feed and afk. Then even 4v5 people do not surrender? Yea i suspects thats what happened in your game. The first person rage quit after losing lane and the second person rage quit after surrender got denied.

Our Zyra afked after flashing into a ez and blitz and missing everything, and the amumu quit after watching zyra quit. Why do some people even play ranked if they tilt that easily lol.[zombie-brand-mindblown]
