Suggestions on how to bring Summoners back to League.

Dear Riot,

After listening to this breakdown of the reason why people are quitting league in this video, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eF485M0rkF8, I have to agree. Here are a cpl suggestions that I think would help balance the game and bring players back to League.
  1. Rework the LP distribution to award players based on performance. In The video he stated that "one person can no carry you in a game, but one person can lose you the game." The infuriating fact is that he is correct. I have been on many teams where everyone on my team has done well, but one person refused to group and just AFK farmed us to our loss. Or worse, died in lane phase one time, so they decided to "int" the rest of the game. There needs to be harsher consequences for people that just ruin the game on purpose. On the other hand people that are consistently earning high letter grades for performance, should be shielded (drastically reduced LP loss), against huge ranking setbacks, just because they were matched up with a bad Top or Jun (....it's always Top or Jun, smh... jk jk, lol). When this happens to you 3 or 4 games in a row, and each game runs 30+ mins, it starts to make you feel like you are wasting your time hopelessly. And mostly, people that feed or literally get hard carried should not benefit from the hard work of their team. If they earn a C or lower on their champ during game play, even on a "Victory!" they should receive a reduced LP gain. This will also help with your smurf problem, because there won't be any huge incentive for making a new account to carry friends, because your LP gains and losses would be based on individual performance.

  2. A Tank is a Tank is a Tank. In almost every other game known to man, being a tank is a trade off. This means, you get massive health/shields because you rely on your team to do the damage. Some may say, well that makes lane phase boring...oh well.... you picked a tank. Farm up, get your items, and prepare to be useful in the team fights. They should be beefy enough to be able to out smart a good gank with well timed abilities, not get a double kill at lvl 5 because they have massive health and DAMAGE. Like, wtf even is that? Tbh, I don't even understand the logic. A fed AD CARRY can see a wild Nasus that is 0/3/0 with mega stacks emerge from the fog of war after the 15 min mark, and get smashed by a TANK. The CARRY? As a support main, when there are three tanks on the other team.... I might as well not even be in the game. Shit, if we don't have at least two tanks, we might as well FF at 15 because the game was lost in Champ select. This is a problem. Tanks= more BEEF and Less BOOM, imo.

  3. Support Grading system is weird. I don't know what algorithms you use to grade people, but how the hell does a person get placed as support and not get an S with a 0/0/32 score (the game has to sort us into roles, so it clearly knows who is where, and can be affirmed when they go out to the corresponding lane)?! Lol. This is an actual thing that has happened to me. People will be like, "yeah but your farm tho".. but isn't a good support supposed to let the other players in the game feed? I mean I guess I can go take mid's farm like everyone else after lane phase, but I personally hate when a Support Morgana defiles my farm as I am returning to lane after a buy....

  4. Ranked= skill competition. Ranked matches should only be allowed to be played with champs that you have a mastery 5 or higher with. This prevents casuals from coming into ranked and trying out a champ for the first time, on your time, (they dnt care about their rank since they rarely play the game, so they have fun tanking other ppl's). If you don't have rank 5 with a champ, that sucks, play norms until you do. You shouldn't be playing competitive game types if you don't even know your champ.

  5. Why soft resets at the end of a season? If it's a new season, I shouldn't be bound to my last season so drastically. What if I went from casual to hardcore League player in the off season and practiced my ass off for placements? Well, If I was silver 4 last year and I win 9/10 of my placement matches, then get silver 2... that is literally ZERO INCENTIVE to practice your game. On the contrary, if I went from hard core League enthusiast to playing a few times a month, but was once a diamond player..... I shouldn't be able to come back after almost an entire season of not playing, win 3/10, and still place high gold or Plat. There should be a harder reset based on individual performance at the start of each season.

Your consideration is appreciated. Thank you.
