STOP PUTTING UNRANKED PLAYERS IN HIGH SILVER

why, just why? At the very least put them in bronze for fucks sake, then if they win put them in low silver tired of this shit. people have been asking for this shit for a long time now, yet you riot employees do nothing.

EDIT: To all you saying "get gud", look I know i'm not great at this game, but come on I know for a fact that i'm way better than a bronze 5. Now Imagine that bronze 5 in YOUR games and trying to carry that person. Forget my division, let's say you're a plat 1 trying to get into promo's, and you constantly get Gold V's on your teams, that's just not fair to you or to them. Your chances are much higher with 4 other people of your skill level, than 3 people who are your skill lvl and 1 anchor who brings the team down.

Playing in Silver is way worse than bronze imo. You get some slightly higher skilled players but the volitility is much higher-- there's the ultra tilted players and unranked players-- the silver player pool is also the largest by far. In bronze you expect bad players and know you're also bad and can just play accordingly.

silver is not a starting point for unranked players bronze is

no unranked players shouldnt be getting into high silver games they dont belong there your being placed with golds at silver 1-2 an they will stomp any unranked player quite easly

i love how theres this mentality that bronze/silver are the same but in reality there not

SILVER IS NOT A STARTING POINT for anyone that is fresh off the block bronze is an thats where they should be getting qued

Maybe because Bronze is intended as a place for players who prove they're bad to go, not the starting point.

Does bronze league even exist ? Recently came back to lol and my last rank on the ladder was gold V in season 3...after losing 8/10 of my placement games I was still placed in silver V lol. If losing 8 placement matches puts you in silver I wonder who the ppl at bronze are.

This is not a "get-gud" comment. It's simply the facts:

Players have been entering at the same point for pretty much the entire history of the game. Before there were "veteran" silver players, there were new (to ranked) players in this area of MMR. New players define this area of MMR. It was the new player zone from the beginning, and has always been the new player zone.

If you're not moving up, it's not because new players are ruining your games. It is because you are on average about the same skill as the average new player.

you think they care? After every game I scream " I'm silver 5 so stop putting diamond 5 as my opponent" in my head. Matchmaking is utterly broken because of its flawed logic and the attempt to put players into games as soon as possible despite dropping quality as the trade off.

It's functioning in the direction that riot wants, not what players want, and asking them to do otherwise will get nowhere.

OP's mentality in ranked is the reason ranked sucks.

1: No idea how matchmaking works 2: No idea how winning games works 3: Blames team for every loss

This is the type of person that think you need to report half your team after EVERY loss.

Let me educate you. In silver you can carry EVERY game 1v9. No exceptions. If you cant, you are exactly where you should be, if not lower.

Agree, although I didn't have such big problems passing low Silver, but I still remember how hopeless and useless I felt when I just started playing and was placed in Silver. Like in few games I was just hoping I will get to Bronze asap. Won't wish it to anybody.

git gud

Seriously though, you shouldn't be affected by unranked players. If an unranked player is in your game, that means they're MMR is high enough to be there. They're doing their placements after all, and if they lose that game, then their MMR goes down. You're in silver, play champs with simple combos, that aren't massive play makers, and aren't super skill reliant (in other words, not Lee Sin).

Your opgg shows you have a 67% WR on Warwick out of 175 games, why not play him a ton? He's easy, and not this huge playmaker, can snowball pretty hard if you play it right, and creates a lot of early dragon pressure (seriously you can kill dragon level 3 with just a machete, 3 pots, and both smites)

This gets posted repeatedly by people who dont know how the system works.

They physically need to be placed in high silver. Thats where the player skill average is. You cant just say "alright, new player, imma put them at the exact bottom, even below timmy 1 win 500 losses". That makes no logical or mathematic sense.

It places them at the average skill level of players because, statistically, thats where they are, and also the fastest way to place anyone where they need to be.

there are 4 potential feeders on your team, while there are 5 potential feeders on the enemy team. the math is great, duo with someone and there's 3 potential feeders wow!
