Long Queue times are NOT because of DQ
Normal draft was always dynamic and queue times were never that long before 2016.
You all know why queue times are that long so stop shittalking DQ,
you one trick ponies.

OMG this is all sorts of WRONG lol
Not really, Queue times are due to new champ select. No one wants to play support so there is a very limited support pool to pick from

BINGO.
You are also forgetting the time it takes to match a pre-made against a pre-made, becomes more prevalent the higher elo you go.
I'll admit that the lack of support players is the main reason that queue times are so long in lower tiers, but dynamic queue does actually stack more time on top of that. The algorithms for matching premades together with normals against other premades and normals in as close a means to what Riot considers equal as possible is actually quite complex. And those complex formulas actually increase queue times in comparison to a queue where no premades existed. This is the reason that Riot felt it necessary to remove 4 and 5 man premades from higher tiers in ranked. The complications for matchmaking premades of that size mixed with the small player pool was too problematic.
But I'm not going to deny that if true solo queue came out, it wouldn't suffer from longer queue times than the old solo/duo queue system while using the new champ select.
Either way, Riot is completely neglecting the problem They actually predicted a lack of supports and said they would consider adding support incentives if not enough queued up. They haven't done a thing about the small support pool since dynamic queue came out.
A lot of it is due to DQ since it tries to find teams of comparable queue configurations and that can become harder with 3+ premades.
