Learning to play Riven - Any tips?

Hello!

I am mostly a jungle player and i am by far not serious, havent even played a ranked game (something about having 20 champs holds me back).

So yep, i mostly chose jungle as my main role. However, recently I tried Riven top when she was on free rotation. I played a few games and I enjoyed it quite a bit - the mobility mostly. I have about 40% winrate at top. But some of it has been due to enemy dc or afk. As the game goes on I get more comfortable, start winning trades and get some kills - don't suck as much. However, I think there hasn't been a game where I would be winning a lane or take the turret first. Very seldomly I kill my oponent first.

I am not ready to learn all the crazy combos, i simply cannot devote time for that in the sandbox (not at the moment at least). Besides I have no understanding whether or not i have landed the combo or not. Are there some easy one tricks that I could spend a bit of time and get the hang of? Maybe some item choices? Im also losing on CS, as I am afraid going close to enemies. hah.

I am trying to replicate the E - WQ combo and i am succeeding fairly all right. I am able to jump most of the walls, which is also quite nice. I am trying the Q-AA-click-Q-AA-click-Q-AA-click combo, but its very difficult on champs. I have been able to successfully jump over enemies to end up behind them. But somehow I always end up on the losing end.

As for my build Im mostly going Dorans - Hydra - black Reaver (but when i get here its already mid game.

So yeah, if you have any tips, advice on how to get better at Riven (not talking about High Elo better, but at least S1 would be cool).
