Top/mid/jung/adc is currently taking me 7-8mins atm when it usually takes 2-3 but hey support is always instant. god forbid i want to play my fav roles of top and mid it takes me 10-15 mins of a que....

That has nothing to do with solo-queue.
That is support being the least popular role at lower ELOs.
It tends to improve when you get into Platinum and Diamond since good supports can climb pretty quickly. It helps that you can depend more on allies to be competent at those ranks.
