Could Yorick R be adjusted to other summoning ults?

Yorick is one of the champions who can Summon an allied unit with their ultimate ability, the others being Annie and Ivern. There are 2 major differences between these ulties: The cooldown and the duration. Tibbers and Daisy have a set duration after which they die and their cooldown starts upon cast and not upon their death. Yorick R on the other hand has a potential infinite duration but as an trade off its cooldown starts when she dies. And here are a few problems from my point of view: If you rank your R up while she is summoned she does gain the extra hp and damage but still has the old cooldown. In addition to that its cooldown is way higher then the other ones (which is understandable since it is a really strong ultimate) and you arent rewarded at all if you manage to let the maiden survive for longer. The cooldown is the same both when she dies basically after her summon or after a few minutes. Also, your R has a higher cooldown then any other ultimate ability of any top laner yet it is your biggest tool to win fights.

Yorick's maiden has a much different kind of impact then Tibbers or Daisy. Not only does she have a potentially infinite lifespan (as you sid) she also has a more global presence, being able to be on the other side of the map from Yorick, pushing a lane while Yorick himself pushes another. The way the cooldown works is needed in order to balance out that kind of split-pushing power that no other summons can do.

It's not just an extra body helping in fights, but a potentially versatile and powerful pushing too.

The problem is that the optimal strat would be to place her just outside your base, so that she'll need as long as possible to push. If she takes a long time to push you might be able to summon her again instantly after she dies. Her cooldown would have to be increased to prevent that, which in turn makes summoning her directly at the front line really punishing.

They should change it something like this. The CD counts down from when it is first summoned. When it dies it has that CD or 30 seconds (or somewhere 30-60s) whichever is greatest.

I.e. when you kill the maiden there is at least 30 seconds when Yorick wont have it (If you kill it as soon as he used his ulti he will have the full CD).

i would like the maiden to be controllable by R, that's the only change I would make to it
