i was just wondering because i cant get an s even my freinds who do worse then me get s's the other day i went 0-2-21 as janna out of a 27 kill game and my freind went 4 2 4 we both got s-'s no exaggerations. now i know it wasnt a perfect game and i couldve done better but carring as support is hard enough especially as a more passive support like janna. im not saying i deserve an s im just saying if my freind kayle got an s- i shouldve got an s.

which brings me to my point how does riot determine if you get an s. it cant be that the ranking system makes it easier or harder for people to get s's based on there elo because jhin is 5 elos above me and he got an s+ and me and kayle are on the same elo. summoner 31

You are compared to your contribution to the game with other champs who play the same champion in the same role(supp, mid, top, etc)

Kda cs wards kill participation objectives etc in comparison to other people playing the same champ in the same position.
