How do I carry

Hello friends and people of the Internet.

So my problem is that I simply can not carry. I know that to win solo q u have to carry your teammates, but I can't seem to be able to do that. Take my most receny jinx game as an example. I managed to do decently in the laning phase, considering thT my poppy support was trolling, and I got to the mid game we all know and love on jinx. I kept up in items an kills with the rest of the players in the game, and I eventually got to the full build point where I aoe crit for almost 900. I started three shorting their squishys, and I semmed to have a pretty respectable damage output. However, when I looked at the post game stats, I was shocked to see that our swain did more dmg then I did. In fact, he did 20 k mor then I did. no I was not paying close attention to the kills in lane, but I didn't hear him go on a a rampage or anything of the sort. In fact, the Darius he laned against was legendary at one point. In teamfights, I saw that the sequin had somewhere jus dmg output as well, but I didnt think it would be that much higher than mine, especially not by 20k. So my Question is what did I do wrong, and how could I have improved so that my dog output was as high as his?
