This is why ROYEEEEEEEEET needs to stop turning everything into skillshot

https://youtu.be/Kc0Pgm8lWRw?t=15m1s ROYEEEEEEEEET is only empowering kids who drink 5 gallon of Mountain dew everyday while causing grown adults to be outplayed by them because they couldn't smash the buttons faster. If you're going to add more smashfest into the game, #LCSBigPlaysWelfareBenefits , then at least dont toss more smashfest synergy into the game such as Thunderlord's Decree. The game devs need to halt the SmashButton Bros 64 and bring back the rhythmic patterns that once existed withing 1/2 of the roster, Kalista Jhin Yasuo Zed Junk like these should never be the future

Alpha le male out!

Targeted skills served a great use as anti mobility. Thanks to riot wanting more focus on mobility most everything anti mobility gets removed, nerfed, or just poorly designed to the point of not being useful.

People say targeted skills have no counter play but thats just BS. The counter play was don't put yourself in a position to get got. If they save the skill for that one annoying guy well then bait their team into saving it longer for you instead of using it on the rest of your team who is no going in. Once it was active then you can go in.

Not to mention targeted skills were great if you didn't like smart cast. Not everything has to be a smart cast based skill.

Rabble rabble rabble blah lah blah. I think you get the jist of my ranting.

same thing applies to skillshots.

Ok so then what is the point of making everything a skill shot if they are supposed to have the same counter play?

Also I don't quite agree. Example vayne can tumble out of taric stun easily now and stay in range to murder someone how ever old dazzle couldn't be tumbled providing a good for of counter to an annoying champ for an immobile champ. This also translated to late game where it would be easier to lock down or stop a hyper carry forcing them to counter the focus by actually building a defensive item instead of just moving to the left a little bit and then melting face.

Not picking on vayne just using her as a hypothetical example.

Counterplay to point and click -stay out of range counterplay to skillshot -stay out of range -dodge the skillshot

There.

Yes, and you can also use mobile champions to better position skillshots. You could wait for her tumble to be on CD. getting killed because a taric flash dazzled you is increidbly not fun and gives almost no counterplay.

Other than the fact that he had to burn flash to do it.

I'm not saying there is no place for skill shots. I'm saying that there IS a place for targeted skill yet more and more they are being removed, reworked or just not implemented anymore.

I imagine it is only a matter of how long before syndra, veiger, yas, karthus, and others get their ults reworked into skill shots. And skills like nunu and pantheon q get turned into skill shots as well.

Poppy kept her targeted gapcloser and skillshot. ryze kept his target abilities.

Also, no. Riot has stated that they don't have plans to make the majority of those champion's abilites skillshots

but taric can only use flash so often. so the time when flash is on cd he cant do that. take advantage in the cooldown that is the counterplay

He could also just walk up to you while you are attacking someone else. Sure you could stay out of his stun zone, but when his stun zone is the same area as your AA range, there is an issue. you would have to constantly walk away from his zone and because of that you would never be able to attack anyone but him.

It's just not a health mechanic

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

so having a stun is an unhealthy mechanic? Ahri Alistar Amumu Annie Ashe Bard Cassiopeia Elise Galio Gnar Gragas Kennen Lissandra Malzahar Morgana Nautilus Sejuani Sona Taric TwistedFate Udyr Veigar Xerath Zilean

having a point and click stun is op. All of those items are great, except if someone locks on to you with a point and click, you are getting stunned anyway. Also, all of those items work against skillshots too, but you can dodge a skillshot. :)

also if u feel like you are gonna get stun u can get summoner 1 or summoner 4 away or get item 3102 item 3139 item 3111 item 3222 item 3140 item 3157 man too bad there is no counter play to the unhealthy mechanic

So basically, "I don't want to learn how to get good at the game so I'll just cry about them being better than me." Is that it?

You cant out practice something that physically withers away, tell me otherwise when a 40 year gamer is part of the winning 5 man lol world champions.

Astôlfo2 votes

Uh, that's because most of the world champions have been playing for an extremely long time. Also, you can right click. Right click. Out of the path of the skillshot. That doesn't take that much practice. And this argument is pointless in the first place, there will always be people better than someone else in anything. That doesn't make it futile to practice altogether.
