Idea for AFK'ing
Couldn't Riot implement a system where, if you have a team-mate that AFK's for most of the game, then the other 4 players lose less LP? I have had plenty of games which might have been winnable, if it wasn't for AFK'ers. I don't see how the other 4 people have to suffer because of 1 Person. People could abuse this system though, so you could make it so that if you AFK, you lose a lot more LP. So basically in a team, if there is 1 AFK, he loses more LP then if he normally lost and the other 4 players lose less LP. This would prevent anyone from wanting to dodge on purpose. Most of the reasons people AFK are either because of technical issues (which is something they can't really control) or rage quitting. The only situation where it is unfair, is when someone has to AFK because of circumstances that they cannot control, such as power failure, lagging etc. But most people go into a game knowing that something can happen and they may have to AFK anyway. The way I see it is that this fixes a lot more problems than it solves. Overall: If someone AFK's on purpose (rage quitting), they lose more LP (they are punished harder) -Less incentive for people to dodge -The other 4 people that had the AFK'er doesn't get punished as much -Other team still win same amount of LP so nothing changes for them -Only downside is if people have to AFK because of unchangeable circumstances, they lose more LP than usual In my opinion, this idea has a lot more positives than negatives, but this is still just an idea, so feel free to give advice on how to improve this idea or criticism or whatever.
