When i E, W combo with i sometimes miss my w because the champion is knocked up with minions and i right click. I was wondering if i just pressed W without right clicking if it would automaticaly hit the champion or any unit at random.

It will fire on what ever you right click on, just try not to do it while a bunch on enemy minions aren't stacked on top of him.

There is a target-champion-only button.

Use that.
