Zyra and Ravenous Hunter

So when I first started using Ravenous Hunter on Zyra, it seemed to work off her plants spawns for a bit. But now it seems like it isn't working. Does anyone have any information on whether they changed it? Or have I been delusional this whole time and it doesn't work with her plants?
