Vayne with celerity

I was just curious and was wondering when I ult with vayne does celerity work? I just tried it my last matches and I couldn't see that ad boost go off? I see it go off when I hit my fleet thou not not when I use my night hunter passive. I was just wondering why is it so good on vayne.

Yeah it should give more AD with her passive but what makes Celerity good is the extra safety for a squishy champion like Vayne
