Give me a reason why elo hell does not exist

I can list over 10 reasons on how elo hell exists. -90-99lp -Shit players -Team game -Smurfs -Unranked players -People going in 2-5v1 for 20minutes straight -Afks -trolls -ragers -Elo system created for chess and not ever adjusted to league(If you think it has been adjusted then actually give me any sort of reasoning or facts on how it was and fluxuatiing between 1lp loss/gain isn't an answer LOL) -Demoted and getting down to 75 lp -dodging and losing lp due to pre game trolls(Also contributes to the 99lp thing) -MMR being based off of basically nothing to do with your actual skill(Your individual skill) -Groups of 3 that all suck -And what if my champion pool consisted of non carry champions, or what if I liked playing top or support

How many reasons can you give me for that elo hell doesn't exist?(I can't wait for kids to not be able to list more than 1 reason and that one reason just being false)

  1. Elo boosters exist and can reliably get you out of low elo. If they can do it so easily then why can't you?
  2. Diamond streamers regularly make low elo accounts and can get out of low elo with no issues. If they can do it so easily then why can't you?
  3. While there are some times you wind up with 98-99 LP there are also times you wind up with 1-2 LP or don't get demoted after a loss at 0 LP.
  4. You are more likely to have a troll on the enemy team than your team (5 chances for a troll on enemy team, only 4 chances for a troll on your team.)
  5. You are more likely to have a AFKer on the enemy team than your team (5 chances for a AFKer on enemy team, only 4 chances for a AFKer on your team.)
  6. You are more likely to have a rager on the enemy team than your team (5 chances for a rager on enemy team, only 4 chances for a rager on your team.)
  7. You are more likely to have a shit player on the enemy team than your team (5 chances for a shit player on enemy team, only 4 chances for a shit player on your team.)
  8. You are more likely to have an unranked player on the enemy team than your team (5 chances for an unranked player on enemy team, only 4 chances for an unranked player on your team.)

Op.gg me or replay.gg me and tell me elo hell doesn't exist LOL

Elo hell does not exist.

Edit, just pointing out that this person has a rather annoying tendency to make these threads. As seen here. http://boards.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/gameplay-balance/spoEFE90-elo-helllll

Statistically speaking, elo hell does exist, but only for a small outlier of the community. Statistically, elo heaven also exists, but you'll never find anyone willing to admit that part. When speaking of elo hell I'm talking about the situation where you consistently are in the situation where your team is the weaker team, and you're more likely to loose. Also, the more strict the requirements are for elo hell, the smaller the sample size it that would actually fit your projections. Meanwhile, for as many that may fit the description of elo hell, just as many would make it to elo heaven, where you're consistently in the stronger team.

Most people will experience streaks at some point where they experience elo hell or heaven, but these situations tend to balance out. I would suggest that instead of focusing on one set of mathematical anomalies you're better off focusing on personal improvement as a much more consistent and healthy way of improving your game.

because you're bad.

Because every time it happens to you, there will be a game it happens to the other team. You just don't remember those as much because they don't prove your point.

There are 4 other people on your team, 5 other people on their team. Assuming you are not a troll or bad, that gives 4 chances to get trolls/bads on your team, and 5 chances to get trolls/bads on their team.

So if people are really worse than you in your ELO, then there should on average be more worse players than you on the opposing team than on yours.

So over time, your rank should rise.

The only way ELO hell can exist is if the matchmaker is targeting you specifically.

I was in Bronze IV at some point. Last season I made it to Diamond promos. Started this season in Silver II after the reset, now I am Platinum II atm.

You just have to get better at the game.

Everything you wrote applies to every single elo. Have you not watched extremely high skill player live streams? Even they have games where they just flop and feed the shit out of their laner. Everyone has bad games.

There is a diamond player named "good guy garry". He live streams alot. Most of his streams consist of him starting in bronze 5 and going to diamond again, using really shitty off builds, and non meta champions. Recently he ran through with Trynd, every game he destroyed.

Now I don't agree with what he does, I hate people that smurf like that and ruin the experience for others, however, it shows a good point. High skill players can easily carry games right back to their skill level. If you're having trouble climbing, focus on your own skill (or lack of) instead of pointing fingers. Every point you made about "why elo hell exists", you blamed others instead of making a simple point "I can't carry with my current skill level".

Am I any different? Fuck no. I'm terrible at league since I took a year off, but even I know that I can't expect perfection from my team. You see pro players feeding, yet you sit on a high throne pretending that you never have bad games. It's such a sickening type of logic that you apply to your inability to climb.
