So the other day a buddy of mine had an idea, Ahri jg, it didn't go so great, but it still got the wheels turning in my head about mage junglers. Does anyone have any ideas on potential mage junglers? (I mean oddball picks, I know about champions lime fiddlesticks and Diana)
I'm also hoping for their primary role to be mage as well

Mages theoretically caaan possibly, maybe, probably succeed in jungling, but i know they will get much more extra hates if they do well. Based on the posts around G&B here, lots of people really don't like mages :(

You will be bursting for very surprising amounts the moment you start building gunblade. Pick up attack speed quints and you will also have good sustained damage through your ulti procs (and devourer making these every 2 aa's). Your damage will still be split about 50/50 physical and magical - but that's because your leap strike deals tons of physical damage and has AP ratio on there, and your essentially dealing magically empowered AA's. His clear time is also comparable to regular Jax - he just hits like a truck now.

Kaxi1 votesMordekaiser doesn't die in the jungle thanks to his W. Rylai's rush actually is nice (tag ally with W, have ally jump on enemy, pop W for start chain slowing). Zyra jungle is hilarious. Ezreal jungle is like budget Kindred. Yorick jungle is ez-mode. Singed jungle is simple, as well, if you know how to budget the poison clouds for minimized mana costs.
Then again, this is coming from someone who has jungled every champion in the game at some point. I still wish Fiora's passive could mark large jungle monsters. :'( I also refuse to jungle reworked Soraka because old Soraka was busted in the jungle.
Serevas1 votesZyra can actually jungle fairly well due to her plants. The first camp sucks, but after you get plants they can tank camps forever as they take very little damage from jungle creeps for some reason.
Runeglaive Fizz jungle works pretty well, but he's technically an assassin, the same for Runeglaive Ekko.
I also believe Karma jungle works after the changes to her W now being able to be cast on monsters as well.
The problem with Karma is that her ganks are pretty pitiful unless they're low enough for you to 1 shot them with mantra'd Q. Zyra does better with ganks because she brings some long ranged cc to the gank.
