Man idk what it is, maybe I am just sucking more. But these games lately seem to be over within a few min of people just dying and then someone is just 1v9 the whole team. Someone on a stream said that most games now you either stomp the enemy team or get stomped by them, even matched games are so rare. Idk I feel the struggle though haha. Will probably be fine in like a month or so.
You are probably still playing with a mixture of former plats and legit silvers right now due to the reset. It isnt too uncommon to have last year diamonds laning vs last year silvers on my team.... while I am hopelessly watching from the support position.
I too am having more trouble in low gold despite getting 2 accounts in the top 7% last season. I feel like this is the nature of my two favorite roles though. Playing team dependent champions will require us to grind about 10x the normal amount of games necessary to climb.
I really miss the top 7% currently... The ADC's I play with now dont know when to recall, how not to overstay, when to catch waves in side lanes, stay out of the danger zones vs hook champions (like backing away entirely when nautilus starts walking past your caster minions), and many many more. I find it infinitely more difficult to carry silver/gold elo with top tanks or enchanter supports. Plat is wayyyyyy easier. Gold and under is easier to carry on carry champions though.

New season is always a cluster. You've got everything from returning players to higher league players down lower due the leagues not having balanced out yet. I always wait a couple months to play ranked on my main account when a new season begins. Its a mess this year, it was one last year, and it'll be a mess next year too.

Honestly I'm fine when I play meta champs, 100% wr on those with avg kdas of 10 but when I play my 1 trick its cancer because hes very support reliant and the game is unbalanced
its the wintraders and boosters. Its worse then it has ever been. Just think about this. Its so bad that na teams have to travel to other countries to get practice. Can you imagine that? having to live in a different country for a short period of time just to get valuable practice... The intergrety of the game is gone. The only people that disagree are the people that are boosting or bought in to the "its your own fault "culture.
edit: btw the root of NAs problems at major tournaments is the fraudulent games here in NA
Yea noticing that as well. if i have former plats/golds in my team the games are easy but its its the other way around the games are over by the 10m mark.
Riot wants you to grind the ladder to get your old rank back.
If you reached your former elo in 50 games then stayed stuck for 8 months, you would get bored.
I suspect they slowly lower the MMR you need to achieve a given rank during the whole season so even if you maintain a 50% winrate you slowly climb and you do not get bored.
Peaked at plat 4 and hovered gold 1/2 in pre-season. Just got into gold 4 and climbing my way up. The problem is you're playing as if your team is plat. I played jungle in high gold just fine. People rotated to dragon, they understood setting up a gank, and they warded. In silver we can kill their whole team and if I ping dragon half my team backs then flames me for not getting the dragon when the enemy bot lane and jungle come by.
Hardest part of silver is getting people to end the game.
Same it feels like every game is so high pressure (might be the champs I'm playing aren't in tune with my playstyle) and I'm only in Iron 1 in Flex (might also be rank flex, but I don't have any desire to rank solo this season). And I've been silver every season, yet right now it feels like I'm close to gold.
Thats because Riot is probably just willy nilly flipping switches in the match making algorithm. They said they were planing on working on it.
Its like with minion block. They dont know what is happening so just go "Lets add 5 to that number right there and push it live to see what happens"

This Season 50 games so far stucking in Plat 4 with negative winrate. Although i give my lanes first blood in 90% of my games.

you are playing vs platinum players in silver and about the stomp thing
people are just a lot more focused on actually snowballing and playing their lead
back in the day you would kill your opponent and recall drakes and baron were suggestions turrets were w/e
i got diamond in s3 by just playing akali and after lvl 9 splitting bot in s4 i did the same with tryndamere 90% win rate
after that they added homeguards and people realized they can actually defend their structures as people were actively trying to destroy them

Thats because all the diamond smurfs are in silver right now, i cant even get out of gold, i duo with a ex-diamond player on occasion, and he is hardstuck gold2-3 right now.
This seasons match making is worse than it has ever been, and its been shit for awhile.
There's literally no difference between platinum and silver players. The other day I completely mid diff'ed a game as a gold 3 mid laner vs a plat 4 mid.
