Why is AP-MF not a viable support
Topic is as stated.
Silver 1 (gold hope) support main here. Sometimes I play ADC and I'm a MF one trick pony. I thought I combine the two. I have been trying it in ranked and it seems to me that this is a legit way to go (barring all the flaming I get).
Here is my theory crafting - MF needs to be played as a poke support whose intention is to snowball the game hard
- MF excels at proc's with her E which makes her an extremely gold efficient support. I usually end up with a significant portion of gold ahead of my other supports
- MF is an extremely safe poker; her E has a huge range and her w provides insane movement speed. You can always chunk players for a bit really safely
- MF CAN provide CC. Rylais is a must. This item will provide slow and increase the amount they stay under E
- Insane Ult damage: MF wrecks with fighting comps. I have a couple of triple kills in ranked with her
CONS: The main cons of this strat
- No hard CC- obvious
- Extremely reliant on snowballing: if you are behind it gets hard to pull off
- No actives for the ADC, if you deviate from the build path you are not very helpful
- People flame; doesn't matter if you prove to them you are not trolling. If you lose, regardless of your performance prepared to be flamed
Items *Spell thief and pots *Get sightstone and upgrade the spell
- CDR boots
- Not sure yet if the spooky ghosts are worth, given the slot efficiency of the wanderer - still in progress..
- Rylais
- Mejais (you can't die)
- Banner/ Lich Bane/ Luden are potential lasts
Masteries : Thunderlords. and everything that gives you gold for aa or seeing minions die
Runes: Hydrid Pen - poke in laning phase is crucial Mvs Quints- gotta go fast
I would like for somebody that is echelons above me to tell me why this is wrong. Two things that I would like to point out *I have give this some thought and it is somewhat working in ranked (not my highest win % but still >50%)
*Zilean support got me out of bronze when nobody thought he was a support charach
Thanks
