How could I get placed in bronze 2 after going 7-3 in my placment (my first placment in s3). This still confuses me since I had friends going 3-7 and ending up in silver xD

makkii1 votesnot all placement matches are created equal, they are called placement matches for a reason. basically that pool of ten games contains games of varying difficulty and skill level players, so its not so much how many placement matches you win but rather if you won the right ones. the right ones being the ones with higher ranked opponents.

Your initial rank is determined by your mmr. Your placement just tells them which end of your mmr to drop you off in.
