Seen this topic before but none with my scenario. I got 7-3 witha fresh acc, I had never played ranked before. This made med end upp in bronze 2 while frinds got placed in silver with 4 wins :O This was s3 though :p

Matchmaking placements are broken I went 2/8 and got silver 5 in Season 6

I knew someone who won 10 out of 10 but does that mean they should be on the challenger board?

It means you play with bronze players in normals

Normals have no impact on Ranked games, since they use different MMR scores entirely.

Even if you have a 90% winrate in Normals and are playing with and against Platinum+ players, You're still gonna play with and against Bronze-Silver players on fresh accounts, in Ranked.

I play vs golds in normals and played vs golds in my promos. This is a new account.

It means you play like shit because fresh account I got placed silver 1 last year and another new account I just got 16 champs on I got gold 2; quit playing like shit consider transferring to a better region so you could improve.

I get to gold for free skin even though I have around 2.2k mmr usually and I barely play like I said so anyone who gets serious about this game and plays often should easily reach mid diamond imho.

Its more important who you won those games against than the actual number of wins.

Why is this such a big deal ? Am I the only one hoping to get placed Bronze 5 next season ?

Could be you lost 3 games against sIlvers and won against bronze 5's.

Next season do your placements later into the season. I find that once all the tiers are balanced out, you have a higher chance of getting better placements
