So I was looking through my champions and I had an idea. If Shen gets sated and builds a BotRK couldn't his q heal for a lot then late game he will still build tank and deals surprising amounts of dmg and sustain! What do you guys think?Shen item 3933 Edit:after looking it up his AA on an enemy does heal him so this could indeed work

His Q heal is counted as health regeneration; multiple autoattacks only refresh the duration. The ONLY aspect of Sated Shen would care about is the passive reduction on hit he has, and even then a Cinderhulk would help a lot more overall.

WHY?? JUST WHY??

I was aware that his q healed off every AA and his passive was shortened by them but I suppose I was wrong

If Shen gets sated and builds a BotRK

Let me stop you right there.

Average player income per-game is only ~11,000. Works out to about 3 major 3k items, 1k in boots, and 1k in the bank when someone's Nexus goes down.

What you build ultimately determines what class you are, your intended archetype determines how effective you are at doing it. Full AD adventures Thresh is for all intents and purposes an ADC. Full tank Teemo is a tank with a respectable global taunt. On-hit AA Shen is a squishy melee carry.

Squishy melee auto-attacker is a heavily flawed archetype to want to be for several reasons, and Shen doesn't really have the kit to pull it off. Realistically Yasou is pretty much it for being competitively viable with that stratagy, and that's even a little questionable in his current state.

You should pretty much never have 2 full-offense items like Devourer and Kingblade on Shen. 1 full offense item will already keep you notably squish from lanning phase until roughly the end of mid-game when team-fights start happening, where you'll only be 50% tanky. 2 full offense and you're likely only 33% tanky by the time the final, decisive team fight is statistically happening.

My point here is that planning on 2 glass-cannon items for a tank or fighter/tank is a recipe for disaster, planning on a build that uses both is not going to lead to optimal builds.

Shen scales off health, and is a front line with a taunt, meaning he holds enemies in place for your allies to do damage. You are building damage on a front liner, meaning you effectively reduce the role of your carries by simultaneously getting rid of your front lining potential. Any build has the potential to work, however this is by far not shens most optimal build path, also the enemy jungler, if they had a brain-cell would think "sated shen? he farms slow AF" You farm slowly, and your a team fighter, not a farmer, plus if you get invaded you have no tanky stats to save you, overall this just wont make it far. You'll never see it in high elo.

His Q is a "HOT" (Heal over time). It does not stack for each auto, so it would not benefit from sated. (i.e. Attack speed would give you the same effect).

And how the hell would you manage to stack devourer on Shen? Are you the reason why junglers are having a bad rep with sated?
