Let's Talk Kassadin Riot

Alright. So from what I know is that the Riot balance team checks competitive and solo queue play to make sure a champion is balanced. Take Azir for example. 42% winrate solo queue but still good in competitive. He needs to real buffs.

Then you have my boy Kassadin Kassadin. No competitive play. No solo queue play. 43% win rate. Low damage for an assassin. Nerfed mobility. High mana costs. God this champion is in such a bad spot. But he's so cool so I really do wish Riot could do something about this. Feedback on this thread is appreciated. <3

He always seems to do fine when I play against him. That blink is strong, no matter what.

He's an assassin. A strong lane counter to any mage. Lane dominate he may be, but that doesn't mean anything later.

His q has a high base damage and decent scaling, his e is almost a 99% slow.

Assassins always do well against squishy people

i think kass should get his silence back, not on his q of course, but on his W since it is a melee attack and has counterplay, I heard that kass had some really cool anti mage kit a while back (like stealing mana with w) but now he was really nothing but mediocre damage with high mobility and the ability to soak slightly less magic damage with his q shield and passive. there is really no reason to pick him over galio or veigar, and he alsp gets bullied to alot in lane now due to his short range.

also he's not an assasin anymore he's a fighter, which is kinda sad.

Wow. Way to say it. I think he is a fighter now. Really mediocre burst and relys on laning vs mages. Though for a fighter, his damage isn't consistent and the nerf on his ult makes him unable to tp to back line.

On the other hand, I had no idea he was such an anti-mage back then. Mana stealing? Cool. That silence was frustrating as hell to deal with though lol. I'm just thinking that if Riot would give him a role instead of an assassin/fighter he could be good. As his ult is too short for assassinating. His damage isn't consistent enough for fighter. There is 0 reasons to not buff this guy.
