CertainlyT Appreciation Post
I just got done watching the Zoe livestream which featured him.
First time watching this guy. Having been around boards I'm fully aware of him. While I didn't hate him before, I did hate the champs he designed. But after watching him speak today, I grew a new sense of admiration for him.
He admitted to his design choices because it's his vision of the high skill play style that he finds enjoyable. Clearly there are people in the playerbase who have the same mindset. There are many who let out a huge groan seeing they are facing Thresh, Yasuo or Kalista but his champion creations display a purpose. I liked what he said about making the player think actively about spell usage rather than just dumping everything in a determined combo. The feeling of entering every game with a sense of knowing the champion better from the previous game they played.
After having hated Yasuo for the longest time I played him a couple of times. I still don't like him but that's because I prefer supports, mages and creature champs. Sword weilding guys just aren't my thing. I realized that their is a set up that a Yasuo must do and how frustrating it is to do it properly.
So yeah I know you(CertainlyT) get alot of flack from players for designing 'broken' champs. I will not argue with them or you over what's broken and what's not. But I appreciate your design style and I hope you get atleast one champ every year.
Nope.
I will appreciate CertainlyT too
