Why are skin shards not worth 1/3 of the skin price?
Does this not make sense? why is it that I must disenchant a skin worth 1350 rp/ essence and only receive 270? How did riot think that would sit well with players or seem fair at all?

because riot wants even more money and what better way to do that but to turn the meaningful orange essence currency into a meaningless bullshit currency which exists to make you think you're progressing steadily to something free
