Demonblade Trynd Ultimate issue

I just laned versus a Tryndamere using the Demonblade skin. Three times I couldn't even tell that he was ulting and I wasted combos on him. Even after the player literally told me what to look for, I didn't catch it once in the whole match. There is practically no audio indicator, and his shoulder turning orange? Really? I am supposed to pick that out among all of the other visual noise in this game? It isn't fun and gave my opponent a very blatant advantage against me in lane. We ended up winning the game, but I still don't understand why it is so much more subtle than classic Tryndamere's ult.
