It's funny cause it was actually somewhat viable on SOME of the champions in this game.

Viable, yes, optimal, no.

Honestly, not many champions can warrant the amount of AD -and- AP it wards and even less than really make use of the passive.

Out of champions who use AP/AD and also enjoy the passive enough to possibly it's purchase...

There are probably a few more you could argue but let's just use this sample size.

Corki? He'd probably be buying some hardcore lifesteal items and AS over a rageblade. Ezreal? Again, nope. He spams his spells but the spellvamp is wasted. Better off with, like, a triforce or something. Jax? He could, yeah, but it's not as good for sustain/AS as Bork Kayle? Same as Jax, just replace Bork with Nashors. Kog? Nope, he's probably going hardcore high damage Poppy? Nooooooooooooo. TF? Won't be alive long enough to get the most out of it.

It's a cool item, but there aren't enough hybrid champs with hybrid ratios (We're talking 0.5/0.5 AP and AD) to warrant getting it. League really screwed the pooch when it came to allowing for hybrid builds.

Rageblade is nice in concept, but needs some adjusting, it's rare to get the full effects out of it.

Also, change the title, not funny, at all.

Besides for the ones mentioned: TwistedFate Warwick + Any off-AP build for champs like Varus KogMaw Tristana

I haven't seen one on Jax in something like half a year...

AP Kog and Varus are troll picks,while Tristana is better full AP(if played mid) why would she buy sustained damage if a 300 AP Tris oneshots most squshies in the game.

Rageblade's best complement to these champions is that it lets follow up spells be particularly devastating, and still keeps the DPS up. It stacks up pretty fast, even for burst champions. Also, most don't realize how powerful it is for drain-tanking, especially since the Rage bonus can last indefinitely if you attack creeps/structures and it doesn't matter how much health you have after you get the bonus.

No. It is not an early game item, there are much better things you could rush before Guinsoo's. Nashor's Tooth being a good example.

It isn't even that situational, and is very useful on said champions, especially Kayle and TF. Why people don't realize it's power is beyond me, because it works wonders, especially combined with items like Nashor's and Gunblade.

PD, LW, and VS are all worthless on their own. That doesn't mean they should be removed.

I also didn't say it was useless on its own, just that there are better things to have in the early game. It could potentially be your only damage item besides FF on Warwick and you could go straight tank after that because you already receive hefty sustain and synergy from those two items alone. On others, like all damage items, you want multipliers to assist in your damage output because they are more effective together than alone.

I've come to accept that it will be removed, but it isn't entirely for the better like you think. It had its place and now that place won't be filled, cutting off even more viable routes for its champions.

You are comparing items which get stronger by buying 1 stat to an item which another item to be efficient.

Thats isnt really the same.

It is the same thing. Things always better together than alone, and ignoring that is frankly stupid. Rageblade works just fine by itself, but it still finds even greater synergy when combined with other items.

No. They said preseason changes have been removed from PBE. So Rageblade is back on it, but it will be removed from live servers in 2015 Preseason.

Yeah. Like Warmog's use to be a good item in Season 3. Then they nerfed it in Season 4. If these new changes go through though, Warmog's will be a great item again. Some of the new items seem a bit questionable to me. Like the other item that Catalyst will now build out of. I can only imagine a Swain being low health/mana and having Righteous Glory and Rod of Ages, and levels up. That'd be so broken. Double the health/mana regained.

My question is are they going to give us new items to compensate for the removal of rageblade and Atma's? There isn't enough build variety in this game as it is so I'm not really liking the way they are removing unique, niche items. It just makes the game less interesting.
