Stuck in Silver

So, I have been practicing on and off League of Legends for quite some time, but I still, am not improving after every single match I play, I want to get better but it seems I have to pay for training or do a crap ton of research. I have been moving from house to house over the years and I never really had time to play League very often, but now after finally moving in a nice house, I have enough time to start getting better and improving.

Here's Everything I learned so far: Map Awareness/Being aware of stupid ganks Keeping the enemy on your lane from getting their cs Making a Plan before you attack Letting the enemy consent or attack you so you can kill Knowing that the goal is to get the enemies inhibitor and not trying to get kills the whole match Helping in Team fights and Baron

Now, I'm still trying to learn the Masteries and how they work so I don't have to copy it off some website and use it for only one per champ i own, I saw how people can pick a champ then go and edit their Masteries quickly and efficiently knowing what to choose so they can have the best chance against the enemy. Funny story (actually pretty sad), When I was lvl 28 I still didn't know what Masteries where until I was mauled by players telling me that I didn't have a keystone, I asked my friend how it worked and he showed me, but I have website copied Masteries still trying to learn how the heck they work. I seriously need help.

I've also noticed players know what to build against the enemy players, like they look at the guys build and build against it, I don't know how that works and how to do that, all I do is use a custom build. so I also need help in that area too.

I Prefer Mid or Top, I main TF, but I also like to play Teemo or Fizz. I'm willing to try out new champions, and willing to take criticism lol

I'm stuck in Silver because either I suck against someone, or my team sucks, I was told that you can lead and be better and win it for the team, but, I'm not that good. I would like some training and someone teaching me on how to rise higher on ranked. but, I can't pay. I could watch YouTube videos but I don't know which ones inform me on the important things i need to learn. If there is something on Youtube or someone willing to train me, please friend me on League, or comment below.

It looks like your main problem is familiarity with the game, and game knowledge. There are a few tools which will help you, like Practice Tool and Replays, but in the end, it all just comes down to knowing what each champion does, and how to build against them.

Take a champion like Yasuo Yasuo for example. He's notorious in lower ratings to either completely solo carry a team, or to feed his butt off and never be helpful. Yet, he isn't seen as much in higher levels of play. You can use the wiki, or go into the practice tool or a custom game, if you're unfamiliar with his kit, and what types of damage he deals. Around 80-90% of his damage (depending on his ultimate usage) comes from auto attacks and his Q. His Q is treated as a linear auto attack, meaning it can critically strike, applies on-hit effects, is reduced by armor, and is affected by items and abilities that augment auto attacks. His passive doubles his critical strike chance, so you know he's going to be critting you left and right.

There are a couple of very strong items to build against him. These are: item 3143 - Randuin's Omen - reduces damage from critical strikes by 20%, lowers attack speed of attackers by 15%. item 3047 - Ninja Tabi - gives a good 30 armor, and blocks 10% of damage from auto attacks. item 3076/item 3075 - Bramble Vest/Thornmail - These items reflect damage back onto the attacker from auto attacks, and inflict Grievous Wounds, which cut healing. This item is very effective if he's building any sort of sustain, such as a item 3153 Blade of the Ruined King or item 3072 Bloodthirster.

Another important element of his kit is his Wind Wall. Completely stops most (if not all) champion-fired projectiles. You can either counterpick him by selecting a champion that has no projectiles in their kit, such as Darius Darius, Tryndamere Tryndamere, or Trundle Trundle, or trying to bait out the Wind Wall before engaging on him. He has no escapes besides dancing through minions with his E, so if he's pushed up far in the top lane, he's very easily gankable.

The thing I really like about League is that every champion has multiple ways to counter them. This could be through counterplay in many instances, building items that counter their damage and abilities, as well as selecting an entirely different champion before the game begins. It takes quite a lot of research and critical thinking during the game, but if you can master it, you should be able to climb to gold easily. From there, it takes work on the macrogame and individual mechanics.

One more thing. The game has a huge learning curve, and to climb to really high ratings, you have to play often. One game every few days just isn't the regimen required to reach plat or diamond (in the vast majority of cases). You need multiple games per day to really practice and get good at League. If you're not interested in that sort of workload, due to timing constraints or not wanting to invest that much effort into this game, then maybe Ranked just simply isn't for you. Just play normals and have fun playing the game. It's a heck of a lot less stressful. But if you do want to play Ranked, it's going to be a long, hard road.

Here a couple youtube videos that I think give some good advice! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPDGmA2quRU https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZjBSY2blD9Y https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0SJojzk-1qk

Well, I know how counter picking works but the thing is I'm the one always getting counter picked, and i try to play but they have an advantage, I have to make up for so many losses and its driving me crazy, I'm stuck in silver 5, and I don't know why I keep loosing. I might win once or twice but I keep on loosing the rest of the day, It always seems they get fed by one of my teammates or I mess up somehow and I get cyber bullied and cussed at. If this is what the game is really about just praying your team is good then that's not really fun at all, and with this kayn going through walls and crap, wtf, Kayn ganks are so annoying, I can push pretty well and get to their tower easily if i have some sort of advantage like a ranged v melee, but the jungler always comes and attacks me, and my jungler completely ignores me. Also there was this one time i was playing ranked and this smurf completely destroyed the team and I was cussed at, I seriously am really confused. I wish i could show someone or even you my gameplay and they could tell me what i am doing wrong, i hope that will help me.
