All I'm saying, is that a champ was actually good and reliable or op, they would be used in the LCS

This is the problem, people are confusing broken and OP

Riven is broken, her kit functions in a broken way during the laning phase and in most sitations. Against a coordinated team of 5 players she is pretty terrible assuming the players are competent (LCS players are pros so they are competent).

you don't see her in LCS because snowball-reliant champs are risky in coordinated environments where everyone's communicating with each in close to real time to win

these same LCS pros will use riven in solo queue. she's a really strong solo queue champion because there's not nearly as much team synergy

You cant compare pro plays with regular people play. the pro play a different type of style of game whereas regular people play a more unorganized style. Mainly because their is little to no communication in solo Q. Riven is strong no doubt about that. The reason she isnt played much in LCS(or at all) is because the pros know how to deal with her as a team. The will gank with a roaming support or they can run that 2v1 top lane and switch later on. You dont see that in reg. games. If you watch some pro player streams, even they sometime have trouble with riven when they're solo Q.

So yes, there is a reason to hate a riven. Because she is strong. I wouldn't consider her OP like a runeglaive ezreal or sated devour yi. But she does have her place in pub games. Not so much in the pro scene
