ADC going out of Style?

Here lately I feel that playing ADC is really not what it used to be. Once upon a time ADC's were Attack Damage CARRIES , where they would put their teams on their backs, and push the enemy nexus, but now they're on the sidelines of AD assassins who can waltz to whatever lane, get a kill or two, and then decimate enemy teams. It's not enjoyable anymore to play ADC against mages or assassins who 100-0 you before you have a chance to shoot.

Here Lately I have seen bot lane become kind of free form. It seems the META is changing and I wish Riot would do something to counter this and bring the ADCs back into the actual "Carry" role. Now you have to be 8-0 leaving lane to even stand a chance because of the burst some champions put out. It's not even a team based problem, there is nothing anyone on my team can do when a Zed comes at me, shadows, press R, then damages me, and then is back in his back line again, while getting AD from killing me. I understand that's his kit, and I don't think that he's overpowered, he's an assassin, it's his job to attack the back line. The problem I have is the lack of counter-play. There is nothing I can do to stop that except uninstall and cry.

I feel like I'm not helping my team at all, and in team fights I'm either dead or so worried about an assassin we haven't found who is 0-4 but can still kill me before anyone can stop him/her. Now I just play Ziggs Bot because they have juggernauts and AP "supports" with summoner 14 and he has fun poking them to death. And I still have fun in the other roles, mostly, but maybe something that helps the ADC's keep up with the assassins would reverse this?

I personally think you can still carry as an ADC, its just a lot of work and rare to happen. Ive only carried my team hard a handful of times throughout my time as an ADC main. Its not easy to do and requires you to DOMINATE your lane. You need to walk out with a huge gold advantage, whether its KDA or something. Its very hard to do and requires you to be very skilled at the game, the role, and the champion.

The odd part about an adc is if you go even in lane and CS well, the 0/10 mage/assassin/juggernaut/tank can still 100-0 you. I've been saying this for two years. A sustained team fight damage role doesn't exist in a meta of huge damage creep.

Your ultimately a glass cannon, so you're pretty much going to blow up whether your fed or not. It also doesn't help that the ADC is lower in level, simply because their in the duo lane.

inevitably, I don't even think it's the ADC's themselves. They were strong in the tank meta, because you needed that sustained DPS to take down the tank, and the ADC was best at it. However, since the Juggernaut update, Riot is putting more support towards hybrid champs with both damage and defense. And as a result, champs are having a little more base damage, and the protect the carry comp is pretty much thrown to the wayside, in favor of comps that offer multiple sources of damage.

for runes take AS reds and quints + scaling HP yellows + scaling MR blues.

for sums take summoner 1 summoner 4 .

for masteries go either 18/12/0 or 12/18/0, it doesn't matter.

pros:

  1. good effective hp pool from runes + bt passive + %24 dmg reduction from dd+pd ( %36 dmg reduction agaisnt adc ).
  2. sustain like a mad man.
  3. still can 2-3 shot enemy squishies and afk aa drain tank their tanks and juggs after that.

cons:

  1. a big kick in the big ego nuts of those who build stupid and say "adc are weak, buff kappa".
