Come here to laugh at me, but I still think I am right.

You can downvote, or think I'm a noob that belongs to bronze and maybe you're right. BUT. I use locked camera since I play LoL (more than a year now) and I think it's the best. Unlocked camera is stupid as you have to move the camera yourself losing seconds to move the screen, losing the opportunity to actually do things, and then you lose the focus on your champ and then the game doesn't feel like any game at all because you have no perception of yourself into the game. Of course my argument is invalid, because all pro players use the unlocked one and they are who they are, but still, it's not right to use it I think or at least locked one is as much as good as the unlocked one. When I play, if something urges to be seen (and that's very rare, why would you see other parts of the map when you have a mini map?), but let's say if sometimes it happens that you must see it, press Y, go to the point while having indicated your direction or position BEFORE this, give a quick look and press Y again, and that's what I do. The only problem is botlane on red side, so I never go there if possible :D and I've tried to look for the semi-locked camera but I can't seem to find it. Free to insult me, I know this thread deserves it, but it's my opinion.

Also, I would be so glad if 5v5 map was horizontal like the 3v3 let's say, or at least why we cannot rotate the map as we want?

It's really a matter of preference. Most people just prefer unlocked because, well, it's usually more effective.

You don't really lose any time moving the screen, because scrolling around becomes second nature. It also takes way less time to check other areas than the method you suggested.

lol i used to use locked camera all the time till i started playing adcs and long ranged mages. as the game goes on with these types of champs you find it a lot easier over time and it becomes a habit which can help you if you're about to go in on a fight or keeping track of two enemies in the backline while keeping track of yours

My method is I leave the lock/unlock on spacebar and change appropriately. In 1v1 scenarious it's easier to leave it locked. In bot lane and team fights I may scoot the camera around a bit.

Try messing with the camera movement speed

I have been slowly getting used to the unlocked camera.

However I keep it locked on melee champs I use, and typically unlock it when I'm playing champs with medium-long range like Lux.
