Ridiculous ranked placements

So this account was Bronze 1 all the way back in season 3. I play 6 games and win them all it says it has a silver 3 mmr fair enough. I then lose the next one beacuse someone afkd then it tanked 3 divisions all the way to bronze 1. Can someone /explains this bs? I lost the next game because 4 people fed their team. I'm not trying to make a post saying "my team sucks i'm better than them" almost every game i get seemingly dumb people but I can climb out of it. I just want to know why the placements are this ridiculously bad. Id the account wasn't played for 4 seasons why does it get treated like it ended up bronze 5 last season?. It'll probably end up getting bronze 5 and although I can climb it's just a frustrating and time consuming thing. If anyone else went through this in placements please elaborate thanks.

Riot's matchmaking and anything to do with MMR is just shit, there's no use trying to explain it. I've been plat past 3 seasons and i believe i got placed into silver 4 or something this season after going 5-5.

I'm just sitting here wondering how you went from Bronze 1 to Silver 3 in 6 games because the most divisions you can jump is 2 placing you in Silver 4. If you're talking the hidden value and not the ranked rank itself then it's possible, otherwise I'm thinking "bullshit exaggerations" Something to keep in mind though is that your true MMR is hidden at all times, and the MMR other sites tell you is estimated (not perfect) so it could be fluctuating inconsistent numbers giving false information.

Placement matches have an inflated effect on your mmr. Match making uses a more aggressive approach to calculate your starting mmr, as opposed to it's normal algorithms which are more tame.

Well I still haven't finished placements on this account my main is in gold still climbing, anyways this one has 2 more games left to get placed. I just use websites to check my mmr and yes I know they aren't completely accurate, but from my experience they have a general estimate that usually works. I thought placements were only effected by how well you did last season, or if your account hasn't played ranked yet it's fresh. Like I said it hasn't been played since season 3 so I'm just kinda pissed that it's being treated like a bronze account. Bronze, silver, and gold games are claimable, but just so frustrating to have to go through. A side not, my other account won 8/10 games and was placed in gold 5, it seems as though this one won't get the same treatment lol.
