Why is AP cho'gath still in the game?
There is no reason why his AP scalings are as high as they are and the synergy with his R is ridiculous because he can build no resistances and still be tanky

Because it's not problematic
All of his moves are incredibly telegraphed and can be dodged by anyone with some sort of MS boost/mobility spell (large majority of the cast) with the exception of his ultimate, which has a short range.
If Cho builds AP, he's not getting tanky, he just has health. It helps him survive for a little bit but it's not going to be enough to keep him from getting blown up in fights, especially since he's big and immobile.
AP cho is terrible lol
Super easy to just dodge his Q, kite everything else since he's melee, and the bigger he gets the easier it is to land shit on him.
AP Cho is actually very squishy. The size increase from his ult becomes a major liability if you aren't building any tank stats.
Because he isn’t an adc. Don’t you know that every champion should be playable in every role except adcs? T
How can you get hit by Cho'gath Qs? Someone tell me. Even when I try it just misses because it is so slow.
Who even builds AP Cho?
