Shyvana - the worst ult

Riot, I would like to take a minute of your time to discuss Shyvana's ult (R - ability). I have taken quite the liking to playing Shyvana and she's quite powerful if you can learn to use all her abilities correctly. My only pet peeve is when i go to use my "R" and literally everything stops me dead in my tracks before i can even get into the fight. I've been completely ruined by her ult and it's even cost me games. My biggest enemy is Thresh with his Flay. I've been stopped so many times and it's actually kind of ridiculous. Lux's bind stops me mid flight, thresh's flay and hook stop me mid flight, jayce's knockback, Yasuo's q - whirlwind, Darius' pull, and etc. etc. I can go on and on with everything that stops Shyvana mid ult dealing absolutely no damage at all.

Now getting to my main point - Why is she the only true ult that has been left behind when it comes to engaging? Look at Vi, Malphite, Fiddlesticks, and Yasuo's Ults. Once initiated none of them can be stopped (Fiddle can be stunned once his ult has already commenced) but that still does damage over time while he's stunned. Once I decide to Ult with Shyvana and it gets stopped immediately it leaves me sitting there in dragon form basically worthless being not even close to the enemy team like intended.

Can you please explain to me the reasoning behind her ult not being unstoppable during it's flight compared to Malph's rushing ult, Yasuo's mid air slash ult, and Vi's ever so relenting Autolock chasing ult.
