How do you beat Onslaught?

I've tried 5x Jinx with comet / arsenal. I've tried a mix.

Can never beat the third tier of Kayn.

I've found Yasuo to be probably the best in this mode. With Tempest and the augment that increases the length of his ult/decrease the CD, he just does a ton of AOE. Combine that with a tanky Malphite using Relentless and maybe a Sona spamming Clutch shields and that one augment that only needs two spells for Power Chord (Cadence I think?).

I think the best comp is 2 Yasuo, 2 Malphite, and a Sona for the sustain/shields. Jinx is fine in the mode with comet to clear out a lot of the crap, but I don't think she's a requirement. Ziggs just sucks for whatever reason. He didn't get a lot of great augments like the others did, other than the spammy ult one.

For Kayn, you want to be mainly dealing with him. The adds are annoying, but if your Malphite(s) collect them with ult regularly you should be fine. Its just a matter of taking as little damage as possible while hitting Kayn as much as possible. Dodging is sometimes impossible, but do it as much as you can. This is also where Sona can be really useful with those insane shields from Clutch augment. I've legit kept a run going just by spamming QW Power Chord W, just gives a ton of shield to your clustered team.

That's my strat if you just want to beat Onslaught and nothing else. Using like 5 of the same is a different story. I've heard 5 Yas is pretty good, but I'm terrible with Yasuo and haven't tried it myself.

2 augs or 5 augs?

Because 5 augs is hilariously easy. Just don't get hit by shit, run away when he uses his ora attack, and never stop moving. Also, stand between him and a wall. He's poppy ulting you away because you aren't standing between him and a wall. No, the pit in the middle of the map doesn't count as a wall.

Today I beated onslaught on 2 augments 4 times (check my match history if you don't believe me) last game had even sona in team (4jinx 1sona). As long as everyone do his part it is easy. You just need to know when to apply dps, and especially as jinx how to apply dps (I failed twice today with 5 jinx strat because the players were new into this mode and didn't know when and how to attack him).

I suggest read this guide of mine: https://boards.eune.leagueoflegends.com/en/c/champions-gameplay-en/aIEEqMpJ-odyssey-general-tips-what-to-build-how-to-beat-kayn

As for Jinx, some additional tips after I saw the errors these guys in one of my ´games were doing.

  1. facetank the first Kayn iteration, he usually won't dash from start and he tends to autoattack or pull first 10-20seconds, however if all jinxes stay far away from him he will slowly walk towards one of you and leave the ult trail which lowers damage. And he also deals ton of dmg with aa so it is needed to swap with someone after you are low in order to keep him in the ulty trail.

  2. It happens that you are running away from Kayn or monsters because he is chasing you or you are low and can't afford to walk back into Kayn's range. When that happen watch minimap closely, as soon as he stops moving, move camera on that spot and aim ulty there to hit him. The players I failed with were just ulting monsters that were chasing them ignoring Kayn, but you can always lead monsters into that ulty you just fired, not so much Kayn.

  3. Additional tactic to apply dps while he is dashing is to ult towards the dash line that leads towards you, then use E in middle of it. Just before he lands, warp towards him, basically switching sides. He tends to dash back and then get snared. All while receiving damage from your ult.

Also whenever you have more than 1 Jinx in team, one Jinx should go AD build with BOTRK if possible and either Eager+Antsy or Eager+Comet. AD Jinx is maybe bit weaker in first 4 maps, but if played properly she can do as much damage as AP jinx, while providing the passive that helps dodging and kiting to the whole team. It is not mandatory, you can go as 5 AP Jinx but I think it is highly effective.
