You're granting every assist to be equivalent to a kill in terms of gaining stacks. That's a huge numerical buff... and I think we'll be seeing a nerf to his power soon because of this- of equal or more value. Again. For what reason should Veigar have been given a huge buff that his next patch would have to drown his numbers?

As a support Veigar main, I love this buff - it is a nice touch for mid Veigar, but really is only a majour buff as support ... I GET AP MOTHER F***ER
The main thing about Veigar is his weaknesses are still glaring so he shouldn't be nerfed.
This AP gain buff is honestly hardly a huge buff. But I don't think it was necessary
Veigar will always be a better mid laner. whenever I "Suppost" veigar I never buy any support items and just build AP
Only Assists with Veigar's Q counts for AP.
And his W cast time got reduced~
So it's not a overall huge buff. Just a little bit of love to make him more viable.
I really am hoping this gets him seen in Worlds as a Viktor/Diana/Ahri counter.
It will be a meaningful buff, I completely agree with you there.
As far as future nerfs go, I'd bet their first nerf would be to cut this buff in half. For example "Veigar gains 1/2/3/4/5 AP per kill, and 0.5/1/1.5/2/2.5 AP per assist". Honestly, that would probably bring things back in line and be the end of it.
What you're saying is that the buff frontloaded more power onto his only 2 landable abilities instead of addressing his real issue, and if he becomes viable as a result he'll be nerfed for being a one button wonder? Sounds about right.
