Yi is seriously a joke right now (for my ELO)

TL;DR: BASICALLY YOUR BORING OLD QQ THREAD, DOWNVOTE AND IGNORE.

I'm a low ELO player, so obviously my complaints are going to be invalid when taken to higher ELO games. Here are a few complaints that I have about Yi... This is low ELO we're talking about, so obviously we're going to have shitty team comps and little CC. Typical low ELO stuff.

Also going to put out there that I think it's pretty stupid the game's balance revolves around Plat+. Sure, the argument is "well why should we balance for people who don't know how to play properly", but the people who don't know how to play properly are the vast majority of players.

-Yi sticks to targets way too hard when no CC is present. His ult gives him some pretty bullshit movement speed, and nobody from a tank to a carry has a chance of getting out alive.

-His damage is over the top, even when he's not fed. Seriously, I don't see why he gets so much damage.

-His Q allows him to negate a shit ton of CC and damage. Seriously, it gives a window for his enemies to completely waste their CC on absolutely nothing.

-His lifesteal... I generally have a complaint about lifesteal on all high-damage AD champions because it's kind of stupid. The lifesteal is usually only a problem late game or if Yi is fed, though, and games don't get to late game often anymore.

-His W... I just think it's ridiculous. A good knockup will do the trick, but once again, low ELO players don't always have that. The fact that he has two abilities to negate damage makes it even worse.

-The items he builds. Ugh, I can't even blame the champion for this, but the items are so damn frustrating.

I probably have more that I could think of if I wasn't so tired.

I spent enough time in high Plat Elo last season to tell you that he's cancer there as well.

Have you been ignoring all the QQ that isn't only in bronze? I've always hated that mofo and now bitch ass bruiser yi 2 shotting you just cause. Devourer AND rageblade need the nerf, not just rageblade.

If he could be slowed in his ultimate i'd have no problem with him but as he is now unless you have hard cc aka stuns roots etc. you're fucked.

The division you're in has nothing to do with it. Yi's winrate is about 52% in all divisions. 52% in bronze, 52% in diamond.

But 52% really isn't that high.

yi is stupid because guinsoos is stupid. honestly devourer had a balanced place in the game before the on hit synergies with it blade and guinsoo. and now they nerfing devourer on pbe when the problem is the on hit synergy that devourer is enabling via build

Yi's W is the only infuriating part of his kit I feel. Him being tanky as fuck with his build is awful to deal with enough, but his ability to heal up more than the damage he is tanking then melting your whole team while your shit is on cooldown is just demoralizing.

it's not like its hard to start timing it either. the only counterplay to his W is that it IS a channel so CC will interrupt it, but if you use your CC to lock him down, start trying to burst he will just THEN press W and heal up through your damage while his team free fires on you because you HAVE to focus yi. if you don't you will lose.

the W just needs to reduce significantly less damage or none at all. it's already an autoattack reset, he already gets sustain, he gets a fuck ton of damage and movement speed, and untargetability. true damage is icing on the cake.

I don't feel he needs a 4 second window where he can tank an entire team. Rammus can do this because he is a tank. Mundo can do this because he is a tanky fighter. yi can do this because...he's insane high dps carry? what?

And? Who cares if you people are the majority... balancing a game has nothing to do with democracy. As you already pointed out, a game simply cannot be balanced around people who don't know how to play it properly. That's basic game design right there.
