The State of League of Legends (Provisional Experience Solo Queue)

So I've played my first three matches of provisional and, other than losing, have neither enjoyed myself nor League of Legends up to this point.

Let me start by saying that I'm well aware of the 'New Patch, New Troll' trend that makes LoL updates so infamous. However, with the start of season 5 and patches, I've found a lot more members of the community who love "trolling" a lot harder than normal. To clarify, I'm not talking about about the "odd" champion pick trolling or "instalocking". I'm describing more of the "I'm first pick and will ban ridiculously...just because I can and I'm trolling" trolls who make blatantly troll bans and, once the game begins, go AFK. Although this isn't new, it has become more frequent in ranked games. I'm unsure of the benefit of doing things like that but, in my mind, it seems comparable to theft (The stealing of other's time, chances of success, and peace). It's community members like the one I've pictured below that seem to find enjoyment in not actually playing the game.

And it's gone way beyond the point of "trolling" to levels over 9000.

Below is a screenshot of recent ranked draft pick game (the third game in which I came across this type of troll) where top pick bans without hesitation or input from team because he was duo queue and trolling - the proceeds to leave game with duo queue member...reconnecting only when his client timed out.

As stated previously, this has become a normal thing within ranked games (and the standard in normals) and I'm trying to figure out why these types of players are still on here? They're not winning. They're not helping anyone. They're not making an effort to change. Yet they'd rather go into ranked games and do things as pictured below rather than play.

It feels as if the league I once knew is rotting away and the worms of it's corpse are creating a new game where the goal is to destroy any remaining pleasure LoL has to offer.

And it's pretty sad.

I can tell you must be in the depths of elo hell. I'm sorry.

He probably isn't trolling, he's probably just lame in the head. You will encounter these lames for quite some time, believe me, in Platinum there's still lames.

You need to work on farming, I checked out your stats. You're averaging 8K per game, granted they are losses, which does apply some negative statistics to it, as well you need to capitalize on your kill securing. If you haven't done it yet, I encourage watching some pro streamers. Just taking the time to sit down and watch them for a couple of hours, will likely improve your own skill and ability by 25%. That isn't even a lie, try it out.

I know, higher ELO people will go Teleport top. Don't. Run with Ignite at all times, because it's going to be the difference between getting the first kill in your lane and not getting it, 99% of the time. Who cares if you have to back up and he gets to teleport back to lane, prioritize buying brown boots so that you can hustle back to your lane, on top of your other items. Ping your tower, acknowledge to your jungler that you need him to cover your lane until you can return to it because you have to shop and heal.

Is your enemy harassing you too hard, and you can't win a fight against him? Head back to base, shop and come back. Now you have the advantage with the item advantage and the health advantage. Unless there is a gank happening (which you should also prioritize wards to prevent this from happening), he has to retreat, and now you get to free farm without worrying about being harassed.

Also, NEVER EVER put yourself in a position early game, where you can take hits from a tower. They deal like 3-5x what the enemy champion can do in a single hit, and it scales VERY QUICKLY I might add. Taking a single hit from a tower, can literally make you lose your lane, it can literally snowball the enemy champion out of control, and you can actually lose the game from this single mistake.

Junglers are actually OK with this. There's generally more gold and more experienced to be gained in a lane than there is in the jungle.

That may be what it is. Since the start of S5, I have no idea where my ELO lies (ended S IV) but the player base hasn't been as trollnificent as I've seen recently. Gotta start getting my ELO up.
