Kayne ult and greedy teammates

I've been a fan of Kayn since release. Ever since he went live he became my most played champion. I hit level 7 on him like 4 days after his release.

During my time playing this champ, I have found out the most frustrating thing in League (at least to me). It's worse than that 0/12/3 Brand support in the last promo match that you really have to win.

By the title, you could have guessed it. People killing the person you are finishing off with Kayn's ult during the delay. Or perhaps you use the ult duration to wait for your cooldowns. But then, there he is. That 3/9 Yasuo that made your game a hell to carry flashes in and finishes your target off with a perfectly aimed and outplaying Q! Wow, that sure was a sick play, BUT. Now you won't get the heal from your ult and you can't dash. Whoops. Suddenly you're in a terrible spot... You die and the fight is lost.

Now, this seems like it's not a big problem but it happens quite often. Too often in my opinion. I've actually lost quite some games just because we lost an important fight like that. And no matter how often I ask my teammates not to do it, they'll always be too greedy and do it anyway. They often even flash to finish them off when they have close to no health with me in them and then I can't dash out and end up stuck between 3 enemies.

My suggestion changing it a little bit so that Kayn won't be punished so hard for his own teammates being jerks. What about still allowing you to dash out when your target dies to someone else? And maybe even give Rhaast the health when this happens?

I also thought about letting us instantly leave the target but that would kind of remove counterplay. The delay is fine in my opinion. It leaves the enemy with a lot of options.

This is not really a "PLS BUFF KAYN!!" post. It's more of a rant to be honest. Feel free to leave your own experiences or opinion!

Never played Kayn myself or even alot with or against him, since hes nearly permabaned (at least lat week when I had my last game before vacation), but that seems like a big problem to me.

Your changes also sound well thought... Should be changed exactly like that.

the only champ in this situation I can think of ATM is zed, can anyone confirm if Zed gets the AD bonus if someone else kills them? Or does Zed have to make the kill?

Kayne should follow similar rules as zed.

Its so bad when you are playing rhaast and you want to get a heal mod team fight so you arent dead and out of nowhere this crazy wielding two spiny axes decides you dont deserve to survive a teamfight and deletes your temporary home from existence. So your just standing there knowing you are going to die as an six legged mecha crab pulls you towards his meatgrinder to finish you off.

I've had this problem a lot. I ult someone and then my teammate kills the target I'm ulting and I die because either I didnt get that heal off or I'm in a bad position. Or I waste a flash or whatever. It's pretty frustrating.

Exactly. And ok, if they had to quickly kill the target to not die or save someone, that's not a problem. But when they flash for it when no one is in danger, or just when they switch target to finish off the fleeing target that I want to get my heal from, I just want to punch puppies.

There already are champ with similar problems. Yi in Q for example

I understand the annoyance, but its just how the game works. People want to feel good and have the most kills, but meh.

It's likely that whoever you're ulting is still fighting back. Why should your teammate die so you could have one more kill? It's also fair to assume that the quicker the enemy dies the quicker your team can focus another objective.

Seems your are the teammate that's the selfish jerk?

Take your assist gold, get over it, and move on.

I usually don't ult unless I'm sure I can get the kill or if I don't want to take damage. If i want the kill and I've already ulted, I try to end it early.
