Garen spinz with Black Cleaver

Perhaps I am just being noobish. Perhaps I don't quite understand the tooltip for Garen's E. But I will go ahead and post this.

I've read and reread the tooltip for Judgement, and for the sake of clarity, I will post it here as well:

Judgment

Cost: No Cost
Range: 325

Garen performs a dance of death with his sword, dealing damage around him for the duration.

Garen rapidly spins his sword around his body for 3 seconds, dealing 20/45/70/95/120 plus 70/80/90/100/110% of his attack as physical damage to nearby enemies every second. Garen can move through units while spinning but moves 20% slower when travelling through minions and monsters.Judgment can critically strike dealing bonus damage.Judgment deals 25% less damage to minions.

From this tooltip, I can tell that Garen's E can critically strike, but I can't tell if it applies on-hit effects, and I thought it wasn't supposed to. As such, I must beg the question: Does it apply on-hit effects?

More importantly, I've noticed, while fighting against Garen, that Black Cleaver gets proc'd for every instance of damage. Is it supposed to be this way?

TLDR~ Is Garen's E supposed to proc Black Cleaver and other on-hit effects?

It does not proc on hit effects, but it can crit. Black Cleaver, however, is applied from ANY physical damage, and Garen's E does physical damage. Thus, each tick applies a Black Cleaver stack.

Thanks for clearing that up for me. However, that seems to be kinda unbalanced, since Garen's spin incurs 6 ticks of damage, thereby applying all possible stacks + 1 for any spin? Do you agree?

Considering how hard it is for Garen to even get to his target in team fights. It defines his style of "Screw their carry over IF he reaches them". If he had an instant point and click gapcloser, maybe it would be inbalanced.

I would tend to agree with that, except that, with Black Cleaver now, Garen can roll right over any tank in front of him and nullify their armor completely with one spell...

Thinking about this now, though, I guess that's the whole purpose of the Black Cleaver. Its new passive is supposed to let bruisers and fighters become tank-busters, so I guess it's doing its job.

That is kind of the point of Garen. he breaks their ranks. Due to how easily kited he is, and how poor his offensive scaling is, he kind of needs to be good at what he does.

I don't need to report you. I know that if you open your conversation on this forum by namecalling, then you obviously don't have anything important to say here, and we can all safely ignore you.

Now, if you do have anything insightful to say on the topic of the Garen spin interacting with Black Cleaver, then we are all ears here. Feel free to share your wisdom. Otherwise, I'm sure other League communities and message boards could use your skills at the moment.

I hear that 4chan is always a pleasant place to be.
